Updates?

So, I've had my developers adding new features - monsters, NPCs, weapon packs - but these don't seem to have been added to the upcoming features for my funded release.
Do I need to do anything special? What's the update funding have to do with anything, if I'm already having to pay to develop features?

I'm not sure what you're referring too. Update Funding? What exactly is this?

In the current version, there's a button to plan an update around the top right. You have to allocate funding to this, but I'm not sure what the actual effect is.

(For anyone else who's confused - the money you have to allocate is just for advertising purposes, it gets you hype. New things you do only appear in the changelog when they affect the game; new NPCs and such have to be *placed* to show up.)
