I find myself uninstalling for a few months at a time, then reinstalling when either...
A. I'm bored and have an itch to create
B. A new update comes and I want to test things out
As long as you're okay with it's early access status and longer development times, then I'd say it's worth the buy, but you need to be a certain type of enjoyer to get into the game without complaining about it on discussion boards.
I love god games, look down and stare at ants doing their thing sort of games. MMO2 is that game for me, with the added world building and character creation.
As of now, like you may already know now, there will be no sale for this game until it's out of EA.....which may be a very long time

mmorpg tycoon 2 probably has a lot more thought and love under the hood given the time, but...
While this game hits similar notes in that it's a fantasy game creator that sets you as the sole maker of your world, having played the demo, it lacks any real comparison. The play style is more linear and less creative. Yes you can place what you want where you want, but it's restricted to it's 2D perspective.
From what the demo's showed me, the MMORPG aspect is the vehicle for the external narrative that also takes place in the game, where you the Dev interact with co workers and your boss, doing jobs for them as they request you hit certain goals in your game.
IMO it's really not worth it, I was having fun for maybe the first like 5 hours, then its just meh. And the game encourages you to try a new starting play style, PVE vs PVP or whatever and its just so shallow and barely matters.
ew
Moorpg tycoon 2 is lacking in many facet, but its also a game that offer some very interesting options to create your own world and while the dev is slow, they are steadily offering updates to add and improve the experience.
Weither what is there is enough for you to buy, thats a matter you have to find out for yourself. Personally i am happy with the purchase, but its fine if you want to wait for either more polish or some specific content to be released.
