I've heard a few examples of 'crazy', but it's quite rare to see actual figures. What point of the season are you currently at? How many first team players do you currently have injured? How many injuries have you had so far up to this point in the season?
I agree! shouldnt have to use an in-game editor!
As we've said numerous times (and others have agreed with) the numbers on the few occasions we've had concrete numbers given have never been that high. We've also run numerous tests over the game development cycle that suggest if anything, that overall figures are slightly too low in-game.
Look at the current Premier League injury table - http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php
Bear in mind this only includes first team players, when in FM the injury table includes U23 and U18 squad members. How does this compare to your own game?
Is it really THAT hard to add an option to select or not to reduce the injuryrate by half or something ?
This way, people who want a real challenge will set this option blanked, people who find the game to hard, or just don't like the game to be so realistic on this matter will check it...
Everyone would be happy...
From a code perspective - yes, absolutely. There's already a solution for this problem facing the small number of people who feel there are too many injuries as I mentioned earlier, they can just remove them via the in-game editor.
Thanks.
I think from the comments above id say the majority are agreeing with me, and the minority are dealing with it, though still not necessarily happy with it.
Just a thought N Brocky? Ive played this for years and last year the game did the same but once i got through the first half of the season this settles down. Its almost like a roll of dice to chance whether you're plague with injuries or not? Again being a statistician i appeciate your reference to the premier league table though i only see 8 as the most, with the others being less in numbers. As one person said above they have 10 at Newcastle, I got 9 just as playing 1st game of season, who else has these numbers.... not the table you refer us to? I really couldnt be bothered carrying on and put this down to the BETA mode? I certainly hope so? Other than that i love the game! ;-)
