ubisoftgamelauncher.exe has stopped working

uplay for me will not even run. I have reinstallled it twice. Help please?

Go here, the uplay website, and download and install uplay from there (link at top right). Then run again fron Steam. This solved it for me.

I found a workaround. Ubisoft recommends "right-clicking and selecting 'Run as Administrator'", but what the FAIL to indicate is that you probably need to do this for all of the following files:

UbisoftGameLauncher.exe
UbisoftGameLauncher64.exe
UPlay.exe

I did that for all three, and it now works (without restarting my machine). The other workaround is to just restart your computer-- that always works for me as well (but it's #*@! annoying).

I've tried to reinstall both the game, and the Ubisoft Game Launcher, but I get the same error. Also tried running it as administrator.

Anyone got any better solutions?

I was experiencing a similar problem. Every time I launched the game from the Ubisoft Launcher it would try to launch but would crash with a windows (7 x64 Ultimate) message box telling me Anno 2070 has stopped working.

I found I could launch and play the game by going to game files folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Anno 2070) and selecting Run As Administrator in the compatability options of the Anno5.exe properties.

You can then launch the game by double clicking on Anno5.exe

Unfortunately you cannot launch the game through Steam/Ubisoft launcher this way, so just create a shortcut to Anno5.exe on your desktop to launch the game conveniently.

Every time I click on the link it just sends me to the bottom of the page...with no download :(

It's a small link on the right side of the icons directly under the picture that says "Download uplay on your PC" I missed it the first few times as well.

Was having this problem and re-installing uplay from this link fixed it for me.

Followed Malleus' suggestion and opened Uplay via the "Run As Administrator" menu and the game launched properly.

Noticed a couple of access denied issue in procmon, was able to get things working with steam by adding full permissions for 'Everyone' on "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft"
