I don't own this game but I do own other Ubisoft games that use Uplay like Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.
There are perks to using UPlay aswell, you get bonus ingame stuff for using it when you reach milestones in the game.
Quite a few games, even games on here, will require you to have another signup, whether it's GFWL, website sign up, or simply connecting your facebook account. Get used to it
Developers know they will get bad press by using GFWL, so it's avoided where possible. Which means mostly bad console ports. Should not be encouraged by buying them.
What game would that be? Are you speaking of MMOs or similar where you tie you multiplayer progress to an account? I don't think anyone is complaining about that.
Haven't seen that one yet. Which game?
Please don't. Every time this shows up in a single player game, get annoyed. Preferably annoyed enough to complain about it.
Seconded. I'm trying to get something out of Ubisoft about this, but it's like beating my head against a wall. I guess, since I'm out the money and won't play the game I bought, I'll get my $30 of entertainment by seeing how many ways they can say no to a refund.
They even reduced the button presses to play now, no more "go to game" and then "play" its just play now!!!!!!!1111!!11!11
That's good, because the concern was always really about how many times I have to click my mouse before I start my RTS, and not about invasive DRM run by a company that is openly hostile to its customers.
so dont blame them, blame society ... or the economy.
Really? That argument? Go to the Pirate Bay and see how long it takes you to find a copy of any uplay protected game.
While it's valid to argue for the existence of DRM, uplay is a ♥♥♥♥ DRM system. That *is* Ubisoft's fault, no matter how you slice it. They're trying to make some hackneyed replacement for Steam, and they are failing spectacularly at it.
Doesn't take much really ... so why the hell do u think I bought the game? cuz its a good game just like 1404 but better (and u dont have ark storage in offline mode - if u know what Im saying) and if u dont like it get ur money back (good luck with that XDXDXD) cuz Ubi isn't changing a thing.
Read this comic, and take its message to heart:

You made a poor attempt to defeat a strawman you created yourself, and did so with 'sentences' inspired by what I can only assume is a deep-seated hatred of language.
Apparently you missed the part where there are people who have bought the game, would like their money back, cannot get it, and are not satisfied with that situation.
