Effective space management for Eco faction
Anyone have any tips for maximum space benefit placement for Eco's Solar Tower Generator and Dairy farms? These two objects seem to take a crap ton of space on an island.

Dairy, fruit and corn farms are really hard to make a layout, I already spend hours trying to make some layouts for those, but on the wiki they got a really nice corn layout

I suggest you don't use the solar towers. Use offshore power, it saves you space on the island and thus is the best option to get power in the game IMHO. (Or coal, because it is cheap)
Especially if you get the tech upgrades for the offshore plants they'll become ridicously cheap and will have a tiny radius.

Agreed. Though, in the earlier stages (pre-"need full island for city" phase), Solar Power is quite effective and has a good cost effectiveness to power production ration (not as good as NPPs or Dams, but of course they aren't).

You'll find that Solar Tower layouts really don't matter unless you're using multiple of them (like... 4+). As for the other layouts, just consult the Anno 2070 Wiki, or the guides here (I recommend the Wiki because there are more layouts)

i find that in a continous game if u are able to get uranium and the correct nid created with the techs when you start of as the eco but unlock the tycoons the nuclear prower plant rocks with the mod to drop accidents chances less than 40% with the 15% power increase i have 2 on one island and it covers a ton of production business and public buildings and i still have over 200 power to use

I'm personally using four of them to power my production island and still have 200 to use and one of them on sleep (I shut down and moved some stuff to another island for shorter shipping times, so I no longer needed four) and I'm using the Maintainence Units(?) item to drop the chance of an accident by 90% for two hours. Haven't had any "Accident at Nuclear Power Plant" messages for the last ten hours.

My main islands (both cities) are being powered by Dams, with offshore wind parks on the Tycoon city, and Solar Power on the Eco city to make up the difference

at the moment i am developing the dam blueprints but have some offshore shore on the techs with coal burners as need the extra energu for development, in the 5 hours of play i have had i havce had only 3 accidents on my islands with the nuclear and they were all minor with no leaks so far (touch wood)

Yeah. Most accidents have no effect, but there's a small chance they will cause a bigger issue, such as radiation leaking, or even a fallout, which is why it is best to get high protection against them if you are playing with hard difficulty accidents.

I was planning to do an all Eco island, that's why I was wondering about the space management for Solar Panels. But for the stupid dairy milk, I had to move it to another island since the space usage was so damn high.

As a general rule, it's best to produce all goods off shore, due to pollution and space mainly. Some things just take WAY to much room to be even practical anywhere but on an island exclusively for that production good.

it does take time but i did a while back create an island of each different faction, it took ages and so much patience

Haven't gon past normal mode difficulty yet just getting my feel for it before i take the final plunge as even in normal i have some issues

Yeah, produce goods on diff island (and put 6x effiency items in there) :P

As for the offshore power...: (though I just started this game a while ago, not 'finished' (i.e. all 3 islands maxed out) :P)

Well, to be fair, you can only get six items on an island if you have Deep Ocean, and not everyone has that (I wouldn't hesitate to say at least half don't, even). Though your pictures are valid, as I'm pretty certain no items were added with DO that effect them.

Only the offshore techs in the arc as I mentioned.

But otherwise 3x +25% works fine for production islands anyway, the tech island is maxed out and the tycoon is almost maxed out, and the only place where I've run out of space with 6x items is functional food. Some chains don't even have +25% items (gourmet food? Never seen it or it's extremly rare...) and for some it's plain unnecessary to use (like alchol or tea - kinda works fine with +175% from 500+ ecoblance on a sperate island that is - and on this map, I use the very same island for service bots, alcohol and tea... :P).
