how do you uninstall individual expansion packages?
Okay, I give up. I tried everything to be able to use my cc to make my movies, and it goes so slow it's unplayable. Only thing I can think of now is uninstalling the university, into the future, and island paradise that i got last week, and reinstall them later. I had NO problems making movies with cc BEFORE i got those. I can always go back and reinstall thoe 3 packages later after the movie is over.

However, stream only gives you the option to uninstall the ENTIRE sims game, and not just individual packages. Anyone know how to do this?? (btw, you guys have been so helpful on here thus far.)

you can't if you use steam if you use Origins you can uninstall each expansion.

and CC unless its made for 163 patch it will break a game.

i have an originas accout too, can i go there and uninstall individually? there's gotta be a way to keep it the same as it was before i added the other packages.

you have to have donwloaded and installed them thru Origins since Origins treats each one as an Expansion Steam treats them as DLC and Auto install them.

and once they released Into the Future and you installed it it updated your game to 163.5.024017 so even if you uninstalled them you will have problems with CC you might want to find updated version of what ever you are trying to do.

Oh, i had no idea I had to do i through origins. you could be right!! that could be what it is!~ How do i know how to fix this so my cc will work? shoot, im soooo upset right now.

is your CC installed in the mods folder under

document\electronic arts\the sims 3\mods\packages

or did you get it from sims3pack files

it's installed in the mods folder. i made sure i downloaded it from safe sites like modsims.com and tsr.com. I had more downloads and cc before for my zombie movies I made, and had NO ISSUES whatsoever. ad i downloaded from third parties like 13th sims etc. I feel im gonna cry lol

if you remember what overrides and script mods you used you can remove them and get newer versions. clothes and genitic mods eye lips skins should work no matter what.

island paradise has massive pathing bugs and the super water they added will kill even a 680 gtx 2gb video card.

I deleted all my old cc before i uninstalled and reinstalled. then i just added new cc, but deleted it all again. i do'nt want to reinstall, it takes 5 long annoying hours. yes, the island paradise is SO visually stunning, but I can see how it would be buggy. EA needs to get it together, esp considering it is the highest sellinig pc game of all time, all around the country. I mean world....

no need to uninstall the game if you delete The sims 3 folder in the documents\Electronic arts the game will rebuild it and its where all the CC is stored and is where the game will mess up at just either delete it or rename it. see if its the CC or just the game and then add in a few and keep doing that til the game messes up then you will know what is broken.

okay, so i removed all the mods in the mods folder (rar packaged files) and everything seemed to work right in my game, and i left all of the downloaded cc, so that's a GOOD SIGN. however, now i am going to slowly introduce the mods in (as you cant make a sims movie without the animation player, poses, other content etc, it's hella lame.) i thnk there's this one file in my mods folder---a superman/batman costumes from a site I am not familiar with that may have a bug, who knows? but good thing is, i know it's in the mods folder, bec when i removed everything out, it works. that makes me MUCH happier!!

Man hope I have no issues with any of the xpacks, Since steam won't let you choose which ones you want....

I find that crazy how big steam is, and they don't give us an option to choose which dlc we want active...that breaks quite a few games if you got all the dlc, like saints row for instance has cheats as dlc that could ruin your game if you wanted to play legit

Turns out I just had a few corrupt mods. A blindfold and mouth gag I got off a questionable sight, because I am making a preview for a book, and one part they are captured and gagged. I guess that was probably it. :(
