I didn't see anything specfic to unlocking specializations. Although there is a script that can unlock achievements which is all the specializations really are.
Alternatvely, all of the specializations can be unlocked by substituting a completed profile.dap. You can then make use of the specialization and revert back to your original. If you want to go that route I made a modification just for you: http://www.filedropper.com/achievementunlockerv100

What I was saying was that you could backup your current profile.dap and use mine to make your character a blood mage and the revert the profile.dap back to your original. But I'm glad you got it sorted out.

1.) Or use any number of modifications to temporarily switch your class.
2.) Or use the method I elucidated above.
3.) There is almost never only one way. . .

ONLY ways that don't require CHEATING
Modding is cheating? I think not.

Fair enough.

He didn't look into it too deeply as the specs are listed under the add talent list, so you don't need to put in any mods aside from the missing erf file to allow the console to show ( which is found ovar here http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/1110/? )
On PS3 I managed to unlock almost all the specialisations reasonably early on, though I did complete the Darkspawn Chronicles and Leilana's Song DLC first. In particular I managed to get the Assassin, Blood Mage and a few others out really early - I've googled it but haven't found out how, so I'm wondering how I may have done that? Love that Assassin Spec in particular and want to get it early.

Is there a way to do it without talking to him though? In the PS3 versions I played I never once took him into my party, and indeed I believe I'd unlocked it before I'd actually run into him the first time.
