Was Linux support dropped?
This game supported Linux not so long ago, I played some good ~20 hours on it. For some reason, the Linux version it isn't shown on the store anymore. The Linux depot is still there, but the last update was 3 months ago, while the Mac and Windows were updated 3 days ago (depots[steamdb.info]). Was the support dropped, or there is simply a delay on the port?

Hi everyone – thanks very much for your feedback on this issue so far.

The Human: Fall Flat team is small, and so the decision was made to drop Linux support in order to ensure updates for the PC and Mac versions can continue.

Although Linux will no longer receive updates, this doesn’t mean you can no longer play Human: Fall Flat. The game will still run fully on your Linux systems and can be re-installed at any time.

We appreciate the frustration of the community, but we’ll always be on hand to help if you have any questions/issues regarding the Linux version of Human: Fall Flat. Always feel free to message us on Steam or Twitter if you have further questions as well.

Unfortunately we've made the decision to discontinue Linux support so we can focus on new content and features for Windows and Mac versions. Apologies for this but thank you for your understanding!

Honestly!? I just bought it BECAUSE it has a linux version ... are you kidding me?
You made a 50% off weekend WHILE it has linux support, and so I bought it and now you disconnninued it!

Sry but I'm very angry now and it's hard for me to keep my langue childfriendly right now ...
I would instantly refund the game if the 2 weeks didn't has pased already ...

And no, there is no way of undestanding anything here for me ...

As of what I saw, the updates were only skins and language, so you won't be missing anything playing the older version, which is still available and playable, only unlisted from the store (pretty much like Arma 3).

I tried Human: Fall Flat with Proton (you'll need Native2Proton for installing it), and the performance wasn't all too bad, but there was some lag and the audio was somewhat choppy. It may or may not be better with Lutris.

Edit: Other people tested the game with Native2Proton (can be found here[github.com]) and they had no problems at all! It should run flawlessly with you, give it a try :D

Unless you really need the skins (or they release the long awaited Workshop support or something like that), you'll be better playing the older, native version.

I wouldn't say I'm happy with this decision (dropping Linux support), but I don't care much either, I beat the game some three or four times already :P

I hope you'll enjoy playing this game the way I did!

Well I'm one sad Linux user now. Also sad as I recommended this to another Linux user a week ago.

Now that is really, really disappointing. Also a lame excuse to drop support (especially before the workshop release).

The Linux version worked perfectly and I haven't encountered a single bug during my 10h of play.

I tested the game with native 2 proton as @hockdudu suggested.
Also I had no sound issues and the "cross platform" multiplayer worked also fine.
Cross platform means Proton to a real windows.

I'm interested to know a bit more about why you made this decision. What problems were you facing? Last time I tested the native Linux version, there were no issues.

I'm sorry but it's not an attitude to have with your customers.
I am ready to know the absurd reason to eliminate the linux version and keep the one for mac!

I have several friends who bought it recently to play exclusively on linux. Can we imagine a refund?

I don't think silently dropping Linux support is the best approach.

As a customer I am really disappointed in this decision.

Am I understanding right? Linux support have been discontinued in order to support more skins?

Refund Linux user please.

Anyway, I stop buy No Brakes Games title as now. Every Linux users should do.

Linux gaming is not going away, on the contrary.
You have lost a lot of the fans, you made when supporting linux. Openly dropping support, with a nicely worded, honest explanation would have been better.

Refund requested and making sure to never buy anything from this company ever again.

Spread the word guys.

I'm mad

I'm disappointed that they dropped support. But asking for a refund is silly... unless you just bought the game.

Maybe if these new features they're planning involve a bunch of new game modes which they don't have time to QA on Linux, I can semi-understand the problem.

However if updates are mostly just new skins/new maps then I'm a little more confused on why it would be hard to support.
