Historical Context: Little to no blacks fought in either world war, For WW1 (looking at you BF1) The french only resorted to using blacks in HIGHLY segregated SMALL units, mainly from colonies because soo many white soldiers had died, Indians aren't black so don't count them under the Brit-India corp, The Russian female batallion was highly propogandized and actually hardly ever saw combat, in fact they were only active in combat for 11 months, before being shutdown due to them being terribly inaffective and not raising enough moral to justify the cost of keeping them on, compared to the MINISCULE amount of blacks and women that served, seeing 1 black (again not an indian ffs) or let alone a women would be like seeing a ♥♥♥♥ing unicorn, In the battle of the Somme alone, 11 million people died, most, if not all, were white, so no, Blacks and women had little to no major role in the first world war when it came to front line combat... the thing FPS games are known for, Now for the Second World War, one could argue the infamously small but effective Female counter-sniper brigade of Russia or the pockets of female soldiers who were stuck in between regular RA troops because soviets wasted human life like a government contract wastes money, or the French resistance, which seems to have a large role in this game despite being small and mainly disorganized but well intended freedom fighters. And roughly 80% of the members being MALE french army survivors and other officers from French military branches, The german's had some black and arab soldiers exclusivly in the African campaign and some in Italy but again, Hundreds of Millions of Straight White Men>A literal handful of blacks and women. So it is a MASSIVE ♥♥♥♥ING overstatement to include numerous black and female characters in something set in the 1910's or 1940's. But for the company who in every interview "We're striving for accuracy about what these men went through" It seems like they're including groups who never fought at all or in mass.... Plus Black female Nazis and Black US airborne troops are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ no matter how hard you spin it.

Edit: I feel I should mention that I’m not a racist and blacks definitely did serve in the Second World War (721st armored and 92nd infantry) but they are taking some massive ♥♥♥♥ing liberties with how many actually fought compared to stereotypical straight white man we see in most other WW2 games and movies.

If they put the female soldier in the resistance or something and not in the army it could have been accurate. But females in the army be it allied or axis, in 1944? There were female soldiers in the allied and axis forces during that time but instead of holding a weapon they were holding a pen and sat behind a desk

And blacks served mainly in the "Red tail" Flight squadron flying P51 mustangs over Italy and parts of europe (not on the ground where CoD is set) and the two "Buffalo" battalions with one being an anti armor and the other being a form of combat and trauma medic/ Army infantry, also source on your 10% of the entire american armed forces... in the 40's.... pre civil rights movement... Where the only notable mixed squads were under Jumpin Jack Gavin but others were unheard of... because a little known thing again called Pre civil rights america

Edit the two "Buffalo Battalions" were the 92nd infantry and the 761st anti armor, In case you wanted exact names to look them up.


Also the better known 761st didn't even enter Europe until the Bulge in the closing days of the war under Patton's command. The game is set in 44 and opes in the D-Day landings... something that the two largest Black infantry and armored regiments weren't present for and yet there are a sizable portion of black characters.....

Thousands no, and the S.S was reserved for only black and arab fighters that proved their might in the african campaign, If certain Afrika Corp members stood out they would be subject to promotion into the German S.S
