Rome: Total War

Rome: Total War

Europa Barbarum difficulty choice
Okkkk sooooo lm gonna start playing this one but l already did like the beginig of 2 games

From my impressions is that the AI never takes the sorrounding territorries from rebels and you get big and usually over power them

Sooo should l put it on Hard difficulty (campaign) ? l have no clue how the game turns out to be later on

Notice that l also use cheat codes to make money, seems ridicouless to me how the hell lm suposed to recover from -100k and conquer new towns without being able to place garrinsom or build eco buildings

Learn to play on Easy /Easy, building an actual economy and not resorting to cheat codes?

Disband ships, they're expensive. Build mines where possible, though they take long time.
It's costly to maintain an army, especially the high tier units.

The AI aren't meant to conquer certain rebel territories due to scripts.
Now and then the game will spawn some huge stacks at those cities, thus making them very hard to control, nevertheless, conquer.

I think i've read the mod is designed for V hard campaign/medium battle?

I think messing with battle difficulty inbalences unit stats > not realistic?

sounds like you dont want a challenge so you should probably play on easy

Whaaaaaaaaaat?
Nah man l want a challenge hahahh , thats visible from my post, l just dont want to push the game to a point where you have to do certain build orders and mess with units, at that time the game passes the barrier were the barrier of when the fun ends and the barrier of purelly doing it right without a small place to screw up (VH dificulty)

l just felt weird how come l was palying as Pontus and l was kicking the Selecid @ss without them being able to respond even though l was the only person at war

Well yeaa l dont know how to play the mod yet but tell me, how can l make money lf l at the first turn l loose straight away 7k and the rebel provinces have at least half of an army?

lt just gets to a point were you have to leave troops behind to garrinson or you simply dont have enough cause they died in the battles and you cant take more cities because your generals all alone cant take entire armys

So what happens is that you are still loosing money, you arent getting any more setlements and you have no money to make eco plus, you have to keep your cities in normal or low taxes because you cant make buildings that give law/hapiness or leave many men behind to be able to keep attacking cities

Man of course this could be me, lm new to the mod and l see that loads of things have changed so if lm doing anything wrong tell me so l can beat the game without having to be cheecky =D

Haaaaaa man thanks a lot that cleared out a looooot of things and thanks for the advice =)

So lm suposed to be disbading strong units and get low teir units and only a handfull of them to take a setlement at the time?

Like Cyrus said; if you have ships, get rid of them, spend your starting funds on farms (or ports depending on circumstance), and use your armies to hid hard and fast til you've got a positive income again. i think the Sakae were the faction where i plummeted furthest into the red while playing as, but pillaging Baktra fixed that :)
If you expect to fight battles while outnumbered at first, you'll be better prepared to do so.
And plenteous experience of vanilla is pretty much mandatory.
