While I wish it were this easy, the reality is that such ports are not trivial at all (especially with the amount of custom rendering tech we have).
They will be considered after launch, and it will depend on how well the game does. That's all I can say for now.
Native is the way to go.
I for one would support and love a Linux version, whenever you have energy of course <3
Would love to see a proper Linux release too.
In my experience (almost a year ago, maybe it's better now?) trying to run Epic Launcher via wine is a huge pain in the rear, and once you get it to run you'll probably get a headache from the constant flickering.
But yeah, once the game is released on Steam we'll probably be able to play it via Proton.
Linux purists might disagree, but you have to pick your battles.
