I just beat the game using Windfall and yeah, kinda wish i chose one of the others, fighting the AI the absorb ability seems to be the most useful.

Windfall lvl 60/33 .... you have no idea how much advantage does windfall have with those dodges. If you time it well you can dodge enemy's whole combo while fully replenishing your stamina bar. And then unleash hell... Git Gut (tradition)

I windfalled to victory. My only issues were adapting to the other abilities. I jisthad to get used to how to counter and react to parry and the absorber. Other then that i can dodge a wrench, I can dodge a leg to my face.

The dodge is useless. What is the point in even adding this ability if you are also going to add attacks that sweep? You cannot possibly predict where a move is going to go, if it is going to sweep, and if they are going to feint all at the same time unless you are some nolife who memorized every single move in the game.

They even added a style that focuses on removing the ability for your enemy to predict where you are moving, stagger. Not to mention 75% of players are using this style because it is "cool" and they need to do 1v1's to progress in the school.

I have lost 90% of the battles I have fought against people who use the parry or guard style. I have won 100% of the battles I have fought against other windfall users. It is so easy to hit them after they dodge. The dodge ensures that you win a game basically if they use it, because it allows for you to get your combos in.

Honestly, they are all pretty garbage. Absorb is easily broken with another fast attack, health regain only comes after a counter attack. Dodge is hard to pull off cuz large attacks and parry gives too small a window. Blocking is still the way to go really.

Windfall rewards you greatly for learning the reads of the moves in the game in general and for learning your opponents moveset. I'm no where near the best windfall player, but usually It can take me a round or two depending on how difficult my enemy is to get a read on their deck, what combos come from what stances and what their alterante attacks are.
If you can't learn that and/or get a fast reaction time, you're gonna have trouble with Windfall. Practice makes perfect, honestly.
