Can someone explain Bia's sweet spot to me?
I like this game but its tutorials are terrible. Why on earth don't you explain what the yellow and red flashes are when charging dash, or the fact that poles and wall-jumps speed the process up? It's a key, if not THE key mechanic.

But my main question is about Bia's sweet spot. I see the little twinkle sprite on her fist, but how does it work? Is it a timing thing, where I need to hit attack when the twinkle appears? Is it a positioning thing where the twinkle needs to be on the enemy? How does it even work?

This game leaves so many important mechanics unexplained.

Hi Mischief Maker - we left a lot out of the game's tutorials to allow for a high level of discoverability, as combat fans and designers we spend a lot of time sharing our tactics and tricks from other games with each other and it's an important part of our social experience with games of this type. So it was something we wanted to lean on with Speed Brawl - but, oh boy YES we now see how frustrating that can be! :) :) :)

The star represents a point on Bia's hitbox, if that point overlaps with the enemy when you start the attack - your attack will deal extra damage.

We are in the process of looking at bringing a wiki online to reveal much more about how the game operates. I don't have an exact timeline for that just yet.

I think a few official developer tutorials online would be a good idea since there's a lot of hidden stuff in this game that has yet to be discovered two years later. It's a shame I don't see player made guides for this game because it would be nice to get a crash course on stuff the initial tutorial doesn't teach you.
