LNR State of The Game - May 2026

Greetings and salutations fellow Loopers! We hope everyone is having an amazing month of May, and we hope to make it even better with LOOPs State of the Game. We have plenty to discuss such as new features, additions to already existing gameplay, and some news on where to find LOOP when it releases!

Starting off, our Steam Page is up! This is an incredible advancement for us at Purple Void Studios, and we’re super excited to launch the full Beta Build soon on everyone’s favorite platform. The SOTG’s are also on Steam as well! (If you’re not already reading on Steam!)

We’ve also released a new Teaser Trailer for the game as well!

Adding onto that, some of you Long Term fans may remember that the game’s title was “L00P: New Reality” not very noticeable or big–but we’ve renamed the game to “LOOP: New Reality” Subtle, but the reason behind this change was to make the game easier to find and search for.

Shifting away from title switches, we’ve got some nice gameplay changes made this month! Starting with the reworked quickturn! The quickturn now features a smooth animation that plays instead of just jumping behind your view. For people who prefer it without the animation CAN turn of the animation in the settings for future reference!

Continuing, the Anomaly Zones have had some love poured into them this month! Anomaly Zones now feature some pesky errors!

These errors can vary from obstacles, to vision distortion, and many more that you’ll have to find throughout your playthrough. And yes, you CAN find the infamous Fish Error.

Anomalies themselves also feature more polishing. Just for a cherry on top.

Finally… NEW FEATURES! The Hub has received some upgrades this month in the form of the newly added GARDEN!

The Garden is connected to the hub, throughout the game you can collect seeds from Manifested Grass and Flowers occasionally to plant at the Garden. These plants will grow and become harvestable throughout the loops, and can be used for Void Points and Upgrades.

That concludes all the features we've added this month! While it wasn't quite as packed as last months, don’t worry! LOOP is still perfectly on schedule and there hasn’t been any hiccups in development–nothing but smooth sailing!

LNR State of The Game - April 2026

Salutations Loopers! We’re excited to bring you some amazing news regarding the NEXT update for L00P New Reality, all packaged in the first of many… The State of the Game! April’s State of the Game’s gonna focus on what’s been going on behind the scenes at Purple Void Studios. Let’s dive in!

Starting, we’re moving from Alpha to Beta! While subtle on the outside, this means big things on the inside. We’re trying to polish Act 1 in its entirety and create a more atmospheric, lore-rich game.

A notable change we’ve made is swapping the Desktop Environment for a 3D Environment to better suit the game's story. On top of the Desktop Redo, we’ve also overhauled the ENTIRE UI. The previous icons and logos were hard to read and actually understand what you’re looking at. Also, moving away from flat minimalist icons and going for a more gradient and complex UI makes sense for the canon of the game.

And we’ve even gone the extra mile and added the ability to change the Desktop Background!

We’ve also made a valiant attempt to have a Universal UI Language for both the Desktop OS and the In-Game UI, to create a more coherent structure!

That also includes the text box! Which has received a very nice refresh, fit with a Character Portrait.

Speaking of characters, you may find Dr. Wexler to sound a little different when the Beta Version launches–No further comment.

In other news, the New Reality system is breathed with new life this update, with some atmospheric neighbors joining the main map, and for some reason… yells at you?

That’s all the main content we’ve got to showcase to you this Month. That’s not all, though! We’re still hard at work delivering you new lore and features that’ll be revealed to you in the upcoming months!

So, when can you expect the FULL BETA version to be released? While we originally intended for this release to be a minor polishing update, it has since blossomed into a full-on major update for the game. With that in mind, the Release Date is in the air right now. We’re HOPING for a Summer 2026 release date. The keyword ‘HOPING’ as certain features could take longer than expected.
