Hot Fixes and Known Issues
This is where small, relatively insignificant patch note will be posted for game updates.

You can check your version at the title screen. It's located in the bottom left corner. You can force an update by restarting Steam.

VERSION 0.13.5:
- Added several checks to ensure that your creatures can't fly off to the corner of the map anymore. If they do, they'll obediently return to you after taking a few steps.
- Partially reverted a change made in a recent patch that gave story bosses 50% more health. Only the first two story bosses were affected by this reversion.
- Traits that work based on an artifact such as 'Braze' or 'Ingenuity' now stop working if a creature loses access to its artifact in battle.
- You can no longer discard miscellaneous or quest items.
- Fixed a bug that caused vases in certain Nether Realm rooms to create an infinite loop of messages.

VERSION 0.10.2:
- Effects that trigger due to attacks will now activate even if a creature deals 0 damage.
- Fixed a bug that prevented players from selecting the correct Nether Realm depth.
- Fixed a crash related to transmuting materials.

VERSION 0.9.2:
- Removed the confirmation message that appears each time you level up a perk.
- Made another attempt to prevent your creatures from randomly wandering off to the corner of the map.
- Fixed a bug that caused the 'Shamanism' perk to deal far more damage than intended.
- Fixed a bug that caused missing creatures from your party to be added up incorrectly.
- Fixed a bug that caused the 'Resourcefulness' perk to work with spells.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Narcissism' punishment that caused Nether Creatures to be level 1 in stable groups.
- Fixed several bugs related to the 'Spell Mastery' perk that caused some Spell Gems to have their mana costs calculated incorrectly.

VERSION 0.9.1:
- Fixed a crash that could occur when viewing sigils in your inventory, or when looting sigils.
- Fixed a bug that caused Deity Points to be calculated incorrectly (players above level 300 didn't receive enough points).

VERSION 0.8.4:
- The changes that should have been made to the 'Exacerbate' trait in 0.8.0 didn't actually carry over to the final release. This is fixed now.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes allowed creatures with the 'Secret Ingredient' trait to gain buffs.
- Fixed several bugs and crashes related to the Nether Goblet.
- Several other bug and crash fixes. I'm having a really hard time connecting to the Steam forums tonight and the last couple hotfix notes haven't been posting here correctly - sorry!

VERSION 0.8.1:
- The 'Mana Bomb' trait can no longer spend more than 50 Mana at a time.
- Summoning spells (such as Summon Chaos) no longer take effect while the 'Eye of the Thylacine' trait is active in battle.
- Fixed more issues with loot lag.
- Fixed a display issue on the victory screen that could cause your resources to display as negative values if you had too many resources.
- Fixed a display issue on the detailed stats sheet that could measure Nether Creatures' mana incorrectly.
- Fixed a bug that caused the 'Secret Ingredient' trait to sometimes ignore its 5 Max Health restriction.

VERSION 0.7.7:
- Experience gains should be a lot smoother now. If creatures are equal to your level, you should gain 1 or more levels per realm. If creatures are extremely far above your level, you'll probably gain several levels each battle until you catch up. If you believe you're receiving too few (or too many) experience points, please tell me your creatures' levels, as well as your enemies' levels so I can take a look!
- Reduced the amount of Essence required to transmute spell gems from 2000 to 1000.
- Significantly increased the difficulty of all sigils - there is now a much bigger jump in difficulty from each level.
- Reduced the bonus rewards from sigils.
- Rebalanced the sigil bonus curve - there is now a much bigger jump in bonuses from each level.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Disciple of War' trait that prevented it from properly removing the targets' debuffs.
- Fixed a delay that could occur when looting items from sources such as treasure chests.
- Fixed a display bug that sometimes caused bosses to appear at the top left corner of the map.
- Fixed a display bug in the 'Detailed Stats' menu that caused the incorrect stats to be displayed for your creatures.
- Fixed a bug that caused the arena to destroy your original creatures' spell gems if they had more than 3 equipped.
- Fixed a bug with several realm quests that prevented them from being completed after battle.
- Fixed a bug that prevented your low level creatures from gaining "catch up" bonus experience points.

VERSION 0.6.2:
- There should no longer be a delay before battles if your creatures have an insanely high Gene Strength.
- Fixed a bug that prevented players from selecting creatures while equipping an artifact.

VERSION 0.6.1:
- Fixed a bug that was introduced in the latest patch that can sometimes cause spell gems to be equipped to the wrong creature.

VERSION 0.3.2:
- Fixed a bug that caused Spell Gems that were sealed/ignored to continue to be ignored even after battle.

VERSION 0.2.2:
- Attacks that are critical hits can no longer be dodged.
- Creatures can no longer cast spells if they do not have enough Health to do so. This change affects the 'Heretic Blood' trait, as well as any spell that costs health instead of mana.
- Added another nest to the hatchery, for a total of 6 nests.
- When a spell or trait deals zero damage, it is now shown as "0" instead of "Resist!".
- Cooking buff expiration warnings are now given at a more appropriate time.
- The AI will try not to cast 'Graft Bone' or 'Bone Shield' if the target creature would die from these spells.
- When a creature attacks an allied creature, the attack can no longer be dodged.
- Traits that activate when healing effects occur will now activate even if the target is at full health.
- The 'Spook' trait now correctly works with spells, and the 'Invisibility' buff is now properly removed from the creature after it attacks/casts even if it deals 0 damage.
- The 'Haste' and 'Rabid Dementia' spells can no longer be cast on the caster.
- Attacks generated by the 'Sabotage' spell now always deal at least 1 damage.
- Fixed several healing-related effects that would not activate if the creature was not damaged.
- Fixed all known freezes related to spellcasting.
- Fixed all known bugs that could cause spells to do all sorts of incorrect things, including not casting enough times.
- Fixed the description for the 'Leech' buff - it does not actually recover health based on spell damage, only attack damage.
- Fixed a crash related to the 'Impending Victory' trait.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented the librarian from removing grimoire pages from your inventory upon completing her quests.
- Fixed a few Realm Quests that sometimes did not spawn enough objects to complete them.
- Fixed a bug that caused the 'Razor Hide' trait to activate 100% of the time rather than 30%.
- Fixed several bugs related to on-death effects not triggering, including the 'Last Stand' trait.
- The 'All As One' trait should now work as expected.
- Fixed the description for the 'Kindness' trait - it was not ever meant to grant a health bonus.

VERSION 0.2.1:
- The chef will no longer try to guilt you for eating too much if the buff would expire after leaving the castle anyway.
- Fixed Vertraag's information in the gods menu.
- Fixed a bug that caused the turbo mode reminder to remind you a bit more than expected.
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to receive duplicate breeding recipes.

VERSION 0.1.4:
- Reverted to using the old compiler until our friends at GameMaker fix all the bugs on their end.

VERSION 0.1.2:
- The game is now compiled by a better compiler. Everyone should notice substantial improvements to the game's speed, FPS, and general performance.
- Decreased the mana cost of all spells by 20%.
- Fixed an exploit that allowed players to manipulate a quest to always gain rewards from sigils, regardless of the sigil's level.
- Reduced the damage reduction granted by class-specific shield artifacts from 90% to 70%. This change will not affect your old shields, only new ones.
- Reduced the volume of the sound effect for smashing crates.
- Optimized the Deity Point interface to prevent slowdown/freezing for players who have acquired a lot of 'Deified' ranks.
- The 'Critical' buff now correctly guarantees a critical hit.
- The 'Humility' and 'Equality' spells now work more consistently and produce fewer messages.
- Spells that are cast automatically now correctly check to see if any targets are dead before casting. This fixes several bugs and crashes.
- Fixed a bug that caused exploration missions to grant far fewer experience points than intended.
- Fixed yet another bug related to the 'Diabolic Link' trait and similar traits that could cause enemies to die at the start of battle.
- Fixed a bug that could cause the 'Bringer of Pride' NPC to disappear.
- The 'Vanity' trait should now work as expected.
- The 'Transfusion' trait now only works with attacks, as originally intended.
- The 'Whiplash' trait should now work more consistently.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Cloud Connected' trait that allowed the buffs it grants to last forever.
- Fixed a crash related to the 'Smolder' trait.
- Fixed a bug that could cause the 'Qah Rune' to damage your creatures instead of heal them.
- Fixed the breeding recipes for the 'Forsaken Spinewhipper' as it was unobtainable before.

VERSION 0.0.41:
- Fixed a crash related to the 'Boon to Bane' trait.
- The 'Center of the Universe' trait now only works with Life spell gems, as the description says.
- Summoned creatures (such as from spells like Summon Death) will now always be summoned with full health.
- Fixed a crash related to summoned creatures (from spells like Summon Death).
- Fixed a bug related to the 'Envy' trait that could cause creatures to have 0 of certain stats, including health.
- Fixed a crash that could occur in battles related to the target selector.
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to extract from creatures that are given as rewards from the arena and missions.
- Fixed a crash related to Nether Creatures and the breeding interfaces.

VERSION 0.0.39 / VERSION 0.0.40:
- Added unique cards for mini-bosses, such as the 'Failed Experiment', 'Pandemonium King', and 'Treasure Golem'.
- Added a new option to the creature menu: 'Detailed Stats'. This option displays a window that breaks down your creatures' stats by base stats, artifact stats, gene strength stats, miscellaneous stats, and total stats.
- The breeding interface now displays a "?" in front of creatures in the list that will yield an unknown offspring. If a result is unknown, the candidate parent is now shown at the top of the list.
- Rebalanced all spell healing. In general, the potency of healing spells has been increased, and should be much more consistent.
- Rebalanced all spell status increases/decreases. In general, the potency of these spells has increased, and should be much more consistent.
- Rebalanced all spell mana costs. In general, there were no major changes, but several spells should now be much more appealing and they should all have more consistent mana costs.
- New players will now see a short tutorial about how Deity Points work when they rank up with a god for the first time.
- Expanded the library menu to make room for the two missing books: Guide to Artifacts and Guide to Rituals.
- Creatures' base mana is now displayed in the creature bestiary.
- Attacks from the 'Sabotage' spell can no longer be dodged, so this spell should be a lot more useful now.
- Sigils are now sorted by level in your inventory.
- Enemies are no longer guaranteed to have 3 Spell Gems - they can now have anywhere from 0 to 3 gems.
- When a creature deals critical damage, the damage amount is now displayed with a "!" at the end.
- Attacks that deal zero damage now display as "0" instead of "Miss!".
- Eda Rune has been reworked. Your creatures with Shell have a 50% chance to keep the buff when damaged.
- Efu Rune has been reworked. Your creatures with Shell have a 30% better chance to dodge attacks.
- Hopefully resolved a freeze related to the 'Chain Lightning' spell.
- Creatures can no longer kill themselves by casting spells with the 'Costs X% Health instead of Mana" property.
- Fixed a bug that caused the 'Shell' buff to be removed from a creature that benefited from the 'Chastity' trait.
- Fixed several bugs that could cause enemies to be able to target your creatures that have the 'Invisible' buff.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Jolt' trait that prevented it from skipping the enemy's turn.
- Fixed a bug that could cause players to receive Sigils with fractional levels.
- Fixed a bug that could sometimes prevent the 'Full House' achievement from unlocking.
- The 'Heretic Blood' trait should now work as expected.
- Fixed a bug that caused quality to have a much larger effect on artifacts than intended.
- Merchants now restock their inventory more consistently.
- Firewound Angels now spawn early on and are extractable.
- The 'Dark Embrace' trait no longer steals stats from an allied creature.
- Removed the 'View Artifact Trait' option from the creature menu because it is redundant.
- The 'Salted Earth' trait now correctly works when provoking in addition to defending.
- Fixed a bug that allowed chef buffs that grant favor from battle to work on non-normal battles.
- Fixed another issue that caused the 'Treasure Golem' to spawn at an incorrectly low level.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Hindrance' trait that caused it to calculate the creature's speed rather than that of the enemy.
- Creatures obtained from the arena and misions are no longer extractable.
- Fixed a description error for the 'Prowess' ability - it should only work for the creature that has the trait, not your entire party.
- Fixed several instances where Spell Gem mana costs were calculated incorrectly, such as with the 'Mungus Harbinger' trait.
- The 'Lust' trait no longer grants access to spell gems owned by creatures that have the same trait (fixes an infinite loop / freeze). Updated the description accordingly.
- The 'Sandstorm' spell can no longer roll the stat potency property.
- Zonte's dialog about how to obtain favor with him is now more accurate.
- Fixed issues with the 'Essential Dignity', 'Benefic', and 'Dreams of Ice' traits that sometimes prevented them from working as expected.
- Fixed all reported typos.

VERSION 0.0.38:
- Rebalanced all spell damage. In general, damage was decreased, and should be more in line with attack damage. This is a work in progress and spell damage may be further adjusted in the future. Feedback is appreciated!
- 'Diamond Attunement' trait revamped: All creatures can only attack and cast spells once at a time.
- 'Uncontrollable Anger' trait revamped: When your creatures with Berserk attack, they have a 20% chance to attack again.
- 'Rage' punishment revamped: All creatures now deal at least 1 damage with attacks and spells.
- Nether Demons can now be controlled in battle. More unique attributes will be added to make Nether Demons stand out later on.
- Reduced the damage bonus granted by the 'Berserk' buff from 100% to 50%.
- The 'Nutrient Blood' trait should now work properly.

- Effects that cause spells to cost 0 Mana (such as the 'Chasing Infinity' trait) should no longer force you to have enough mana to cast the spell.
- Fixed dozens of crashes and freezes in battle. They all had the same core issue so I won't list each one here.
- The red "X" on the extraction interface should no longer display at improper times.
- Fixed an issue that caused creatures that shared a health pool to start battles either dead or wounded.
- Objects in realms can no longer spawn right next to your character - this should prevent you from getting "boxed in" when you first enter a realm.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the trait 'Resilience Aura' from working properly.
- Fixed a crash related to the 'Transfusion' trait.
- You can now 'Flee' instead of 'Forfeit' from battles spawned by the 'Strife' punishment.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Blessing From Below' trait that caused 100% Intelligence, Defense, and Speed to be removed instead of 50%.
- The 'Drought' punishment should now restore your mana at the start of each realm.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Lingering Frost' trait that prevented it from activating.
- Fixed a bug that caused the 'Necessitarianism' trait to not apply the penalty, only the benefit.
- The 'Necronomicon' trait should now correctly activate only with death spells.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Death's Bite' trait that caused it to deal full damage.
- Fixed a crash related to the 'Death's Bite' trait.
- Effects that should prevent a creature from dying (such as the 'Vanity' trait) should now work more reliably.
- Fixed several bugs related to the 'Splash' buff, which should now always work as expected.
- Fixed a few more bugs that prevented some tribal traits from counting the correct number of creatures on your side.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Lust' trait that prevented the player from gaining any spell gems from its effect.
- Fixed a bug that caused Friden to sell the wrong rune.
- Fixed a bug that allowed special runes to drop from common sources such as treasure chests.
- Fixed an exploit that allowed the player to "save scum" using the 'Potion of Transformation' and 'Scroll of Renewal' items.
- Fixed all reported typos.

VERSION 0.0.36:
- Fixed a crash introduced in the last patch that caused the underwater realm to always crash.
- A much larger patch is coming later on.

VERSION 0.0.35:
- Re-enabled an experimental change from a few days ago that should prevent creatures from continuing to cast spells after a battle is already over. This time, the game will also make sure no creatures are about to resurrect before ending the battle.
- Changed realm generation a bit - things should spawn more reliably now. Please let me know if you find any blocked passages or anything weird in realms.
- The 'Rally' trait now correctly uses the beneficiary's stats rather than those of the trait's owner.
- Fixed a bug that caused enemies to have infinite mana under certain circumstances.
- Artifact Realms should now only consume 1 Portal Key.
- Maximum Health can no longer fall below 1.
- The 'Rapture' spell will no longer cause a creature from the opposing side to be sent to the bottom of the Action Queue.
- Gene Strength will now be calculated properly for Nether Creatures.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Suffocation' punishment that caused enemies to sometimes start battles wounded or dead.
- Creature stats should now properly update even while they're in the stable.
- The 'Rampart' trait should now apply stats to the correct creatures.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Bounce' trait that could cause your own spells to be reflected back on you.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Spell Stealer' and 'Deep Inhalation' traits that could cause them to activate at the wrong time.
- Fixed a sigil crash.

VERSION 0.0.34:
- The Compendium of Sigils should no longer have duplicate entries.
- Fixed a bug that caused artifact quality to grant far greater benefit than intended.
- Fixed a crash related to traveling to the next level in an Artifact Realm.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Chain Spells' trait that caused it to activate 100% of the time, rather than 30%.
- Fixed several bugs related to Reaper traits that caused them to behave inconsistently.
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to sometimes improperly count the number of creatures belonging to a certain race. This was most obvious with Hunter creatures.
- The 'Congregation' trait now correctly grants stats based on the beneficiary's stats rather than the creature who has the trait.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Blessing From Below' trait that caused it to be twice as potent as it should have been.
- The trait 'Wrath of Nature' now also correctly works while provoking. Previously, it only worked with defending.
- An achievement related to corrupted temples in the nature realm should now unlock properly.
- You should no longer be able to walk around while shopping at the arena vendor.
- Fixed a crash related to enemies with the 'Soothing Rain' trait.
- The 'Mind Crush' spell will now correctly cast as a single-target spell even with "cast on hit" and "cast when hit" effects.
- Fixed a few issues that could cause freezing during sigil battles.
- Fixed a bug that prevented certain librarian quests from granting the full reward.
- The 'Abolishment' perk should now remove the correct debuff.
- Fixed yet another issue that caused certain Wolpertinger creatures to have the wrong battle sprites.

VERSION 0.0.33:
- Fixed another after-battle crash.
- Fixed a crash related to certain sigil properties.

VERSION 0.0.32:
- You should no longer be able to teleport to an artifact realm depth higher than 100.
- Fixed a crash related to the 'Sudden Death' spell.
- Fixed a crash with the librarian.

VERSION 0.0.31:
- Significantly improved realm generation. Realms will generate much more quickly and shouldn't have any more objects blocking your path.
- Aeolian will now sell the correct items at favor rank 5.
- Fixed a crash related to the 'Incandescence' trait.
- The sigil properties 'Immune to Debuffs' and 'Cannot Have Buffs' now function properly.
- 'Less Damage Taken From' and 'More Damage Dealt To' artifact properties can now be enchanted to your artifacts properly.
- The 'Mind Crush' spell now correctly casts as a single-target spell.
- The 'Spelltap' and 'Lust' traits now only work for non-temporary gems.
- The cooking duration perk will now work properly when ordering a saved item from the menu.
- Your progress is now saved after purchasing an item from the arena vendor.
- Fixed a bug that prevented some cards from working.
- Fixed a crash related to the 'Smack Around' trait.
- Fixed a crash that could occur after a story boss fight if you hadn't visited a normal realm prior to fighting (eg: you saved/reloaded the game).

VERSION 0.0.30:
- The 'Graft' perk now works correctly.
- Moved the location of the Bringer of Pride in order to open up a new shortcut.
- Creatures can now be "healed" if they have the 'Blight' debuff even if they're at maximum health.
- Fixed a bug that caused the Channeler to disappear.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused start-of-turn effects to be ignored.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused creatures to lose a turn for no reason.
- Fixed a bug with the 'Diabolic Heritage' trait.
- Fixed a bug that caused the 'Abnegation' trait to work in the enemy's favor instead of yours.
- Fixed another crash related to casting.

VERSION 0.0.29:
- Reverted a change made from a recent patch that attempted to end battles prematurely - this was causing too many bugs and will be re-implemented at a later time.
- Fixed a crash related to the nether goblet.
- The trait 'Chasing Infinity' should now work properly.
- The breeding compendium and breeding menu now display an indicator to let you know if you already have a certain creature in your bestiary.
- The summoning menu now also displays the number of cores you have for each creature.
- Effects that increase your creatures' Maximum Health should no longer cause your creatures to start battles with missing health.
- Buried treasure can now also be dug up by standing directly on the X.
- Reduced the bonus per spell gem granted by the 'Channeling' trait from 15% to 5%.
- The game will now save after using certain consumable items.
- Increased the default maximum number of missions from 1 to 2. Additionally, upgrades that increase the maximum number of missions now increases this limit by 2 instead of 1.
- Fixed a freeze that could occur due to the 'Rabid Dementia' spell being cast when hit.
- Fixed a bug that caused you dead creatures to work with the 'Take Up The Gauntlet' perk.
- The 'In Flames' and 'Poison Inoculation' traits now correctly apply the right amount of potency to these debuffs when used on your creatures.
- The 'Abolishment' perk should now work correctly.
- Fixed a bug that caused Treasure Golems to always be level 1.
- Fixed a crash related to hatching eggs with high gene strength.
- Eggs will now properly display in the hatchery.
- Nether Creatures can now properly equip a spell gem from any class.
- Reduced the amount of favor gained from pilgrimage missions.
- Wolpertingers should now have the correct battle sprites (some were swapped with each other).
- More bug/crash fixes related to casting.

VERSION 0.0.28:
- Hopefully fixed an issue that allowed players to take another turn even after all enemies were dead.
- Fixed a bug that caused pilgrimage missions to award favor in a way that you wouldn't receive a quest from the gods upon ranking up.
- Fixed a crash related to the librarian.
- Fixed a crash that could occur at the end of battle.

VERSION 0.0.27:
- You can now press the confirm button (E) on the victory screen to immediately allocate experience points, resources, and energy gained after battle.
- Battles should now end immediately after you win or lose. For example, Wolpertinger traits should no longer activate if their attacks land the killing blow.
- Creatures can no longer be healed while they're at full health.
- The trait 'In Flames' will now properly heal your creatures.
- The perk 'Take Up The Gauntlet" now correctly works only when enemies provoke.
- Trimmed the silence off the end of all attack/spell sounds. This will speed up battles slightly and help to optimize the game.
- The 'Bonecraft' trait will now properly work on allies instead of enemies.
- The teleporation shrine should always spawn now.
- Decreased the number of decorations found in the underwater realm to allow these realms to be generated more quickly.
- The 'Lifebinder' trait should now work as expected.
- Fixed yet another bug that prevented cooking recipes from being added to the menu.
- Fixed a bug that caused the 'Petrify' spell to stun permanently.
- Disabled auto-fullscreen until I can work out the kinks.

VERSION 0.0.26:
- Replaced the 'Minimum Power Balance' perk with 'Cheaper Hatching', which reduces the amount of Power required to hatch an egg.
- Creatures should no longer visually appear in the stable after you breed them.
- The final boss no longer has an artifact in order to make the fight feel more consistent.
- The trait 'Mechanical Illusion' will now only activate once if the trait is not the creature's natural trait.
- The spell 'Chaos Orbs' will no longer freeze the game if it's cast on or when hit.
- The Warlord will no longer cause crashing if you have a ritual other than a mission in your list.
- The traits 'Channeling' and 'Burst of Power' now only work with non-temporary spell gems.
- The Compendium of Sigils should now work properly when accessed from the game menu.
- Fixed a bug that caused the 'Patch Up' trait to heal non-Imlers.
- Your creatures' mission preferences are now displayed when withdrawing or releasing creatures at the stable.
- The 'Lacerate' trait now afflicts Silence and Bleed instead of Silence and Scorn.
- Reduced the health of enemies in several mini-boss fights, such as the Mimic.
- Tweaked the attack damage formula - attack damage should be a little more consistent now.
- The 'Defense' stat is now slightly more effective against attacks, and much more effective against spells.
