@DEVs: did you try this game on Linux, before you released it?

Hello. Yeah, at least three people including me have tested the latest version of the game on Ubuntu 14.
I am pretty sure еhat the game works on Linux

Actually, the game didn't not start on the first try for me. I started the game using the console.
One library was missed. I installed this and the game launched.

I've already tried starting it from the console, this makes no difference:

./guards.x86
Set current directory to /mnt/ssd500/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/po
Found path: /mnt/ssd500/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/po/guards.x86
Mono path[0] = '/mnt/ssd500/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/po/guards_Data/Managed'
Mono path[1] = '/mnt/ssd500/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/po/guards_Data/Mono'
Mono config path = '/mnt/ssd500/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/po/guards_Data/Mono/etc'
displaymanager : xrandr version warning. 1.4
client has 4 screens
displaymanager screen (0)(DVI-I-1): 1920 x 1080
Using libudev for joystick management

Importing game controller configs

.... and then it just quits back to the console.

All used libraries are installed on my system:

... but this should also not been needed, when you as DEVs target the steam-runtime.

I also tried the special startup-options for Unity-games, as described in

http://playingtux.com/forumposts/list-unity-games-steam-which-need-special-steam-startup-options-work-properly

but this also made no difference.

Any more hints or tipps from actual Linux-users?

I don't want to refund, the game looks fun!

OK, DEVs - seems I fixed your game. ;-)

Your game seems to fail to recognize the correct screen resolution.

Here's how to fix it:

Not working for me. Screen size & display being detected just fine.
Logs complaining of unsupported shaders.

Ubuntu 14.04

Also tried the unity launch flag "--force-opengl" which usually solves these sorts of problems, but no joy.

If you're unable to further support your product, you should pull it from Steam *NOW*.

Otherwise some people might contact Valve about this and call it a scam...

Thanks for the heads up. Please see what you can do about providing buyers with a disclaimer/warning prior to purchase.

You are the first linux user for the next few months. If it will happen regularly we will remove linux version from the store. The reason we left it here, because other linux users could play it. Other just can easily refund it.

I'm a linux user too!
Great game btw I'm having a blast.

It is a little tricky starting up, I just repeat the launch (sometimes deleting unity's pref file) until it does it properly.
