how do i setup local multi player

To play multiplayer, you just press the "multi-player" button.

Multi-player in PAC-MAN 256 is 2-4 players on a single screen. It's couch-coop. You will need 1 or more controllers, and 1 player can be on KB.

People request Online Multiplayer for every game under the sun on Steam, but PACMAN-256 would make a killing. Hopefully the powers that be take this into consideration.

I can't believe this isn't even an option. Very misleading. This should have been mentioned somewhere else. It's 2016, and our computers can handle hundreds of rockets going across the screen... I'm sure they can handle a few ghosts and pellets.

What this game needs for Total Perfection is to be able to use Multiplayer properly with my steam friends.... :( The fact this only has Local is a bit sad....

Sad maybe, but you posted in your review it's advertised as "Online Multiplayer"? Where is it advertised as that?

Lots of people are as confused as me, Just read some negetive reviews most of them say advertised as online multiplayer which as you know will grab the biggest amount of buyers, I just hope it was an accident or badly worded....

If you goto purchase youll see it has BOTH tags..... Co'op & Multiplayer

These tags are seperated for 1 reason & 1 reason only the Tag multiplayer is used to refer to online as in with friends over steam....

& in case you wish to refute my words if Co'op & multiplayer were 1 & the same we would only see the tag multiplayer which would cover both but we dont we have 2 variations for ovvious reasons...

I see how some people see word multiplayer as online muliplayer. But that should not be the case... There are single player games and multiplayer games. There are for example online singleplayer games. Like Diablo III.

But this might be problem with steam tag naming...

All tho there is PvP multiplayer and Co-Op multiplayer xD .

But I see why people get confused. Blame education :D .

It's because you guys are using the wrong tags.

In fact, so many people complained about it until they added online multiplayer a year later.

They are correct. Local Multiplayer and Online Multiplayer are 2 completely separate tags for this very reason.

It's quite confusing actually, there is a Multiplayer tag, Local Co-Op and Local Multiplayer tags and Online Co-Op and Online Multiplayer tags.

It's a mobile port. I wouldn't expect an online multiplayer version for this kind of price tbh

I'm pretty happy with the new leaderboards since arcade games favor competition anyway, but yeah, after watching videos of multiplayer, online co-op would be a great addition. I'm not exactly holding my breath, though, since I doubt their publishers will think it's worth the time, work, and money to develop.

Actual Online Multiplayer for this game would be freaking sweet :) I wish it was added, Its great being able to play 4 players with my 3 boys, But would be better & feel more complete if I could actually play the game with them when they go back home, Plus that would also allow me to play with friends that dont come to my house lol

Yeah and this game has both singleplayer and multiplayer tags which is correct, for Steam there is a local coop/local multiplayer game tag so if you see it as Mutliplayer that does mean online.

That is in-correct. Steam also provide an "Online Multiplayer" and "Online Co-Op" tag and THAT means online multiplayer. Multiplayer just means more than 1 player can play. It's neither Online or Local.

I would agree with you if Steam didn't offer an "Online Multiplayer" tag, but they do, so your assumption is just incorrect.

Sorry, it's just your interpretation of what the tag means. We specifically state in our description it's local co-op.

Are the Steam tags confusing? Yes they certainly are, and clearly they are open to interpretation, regardless of what the actual dictionary definitions mean, so with that in mind, I have asked Bandai Namco to change our tags to use the "Local Multiplayer" version, rather than just the generic "Multiplayer" one.
