guru's house won't give me a time egg

i have completed all the missions for guru's house around 4 times now, but i still have not gotten a distorted time egg, every time i complete all the missions, it just resets, and restarts me at the first mission, why does this happen, does anyone know a way to make guru missions happen more frequently, that way i can just grind through it quickly in hopes of finally getting my distorted time egg

Did you go into Guru's house (the door is normally behind Nail)? Guru gives you a boost after you complete it once, then you have to complete it again and after it is done, you can go back in and Guru gives you the egg after you talk to him.

i know, and i got the boost, but he won't open the door a second time

you must complete 1-6 to get unlock potential
then 1-6 again to get the time egg

i've done 1-6 4 times to no avail
