Welcome to Diluvion: Resubmerged! (Read first regarding bugs/issues)
Hey there divers! Welcome to the Diluvion: Resubmerged forums! We are super jazzed to finally have this version of the game available for everyone to sink their teeth into, it has been a L0O0NG time coming.

We have already recieved an amazing outpouring of feedback on some bugs that had evaded our testing period, so we have opened up a brand new official reporting thread over on the support sub forum. This will help us keep all of the new issues/bugs compiled in 1 location so that we can better address them all!

Thank you guys so much for not only supporting our little team and our passion project, but for sticking with us, being patient, and helping us make Diluvion the best game it can possibly be!

Once we have ironed out the bugs we will look into trying to compile a definitive list of changes. The problem is that almost every single area of the game has been changed or completely overhauled, so there is quite a lot to list!

We are looking into the gamepad support issues that have been reported, I will add Xbox One gamepads to our list!

I'm enjoying most of the changes (except the bugs lol), but the big change I actually really dislike is the move away from food/oxygen.

It made it a lot more challenging to simply explore.

I never played the original game, but from what I've read, that food/air mechanic sounded like a pain in the ♥♥♥. I'm glad they removed it.

eh, it was challenging sometimes, and made for some terrifying runs to an oxygen buoy.

But that made it fun.

i actually liked the oxygen/food requirement pre-resubmerged. iirc, back then there was air tank upgrades to extend oxygen.. i managed to reach the endless corridor back then, no probs.

however, the bigger problem was the food. the more crew, the more food they end up eating, so i was forced to keep a skeleton crew and grind cash to buy skill upgrades in homebase.

iirc, back then i suggested devs could just add some marine animals we could hunt with our subs. ie : like sharks or whales or krakens or whatevs. then we can just harpoon anchor the carcass to replenish the food supply. (ie : press R on a carcass, like docking)

heck, hunting down ships and getting their air/food was also a legitimate solution to the food/air problem, instead of just removing it completely.

coz, without the air/food requirements.. the game is a breeze, since i can just explore anywhere/anytime. it's like from the game being hardcore, to suddenly becoming casual.

a huge part of the thrill back then, was the idea of running out of air while exploring.

i wish they gave us the option to keep the oxygen/food mechanic and just added a way to salvage for food/air as i've previously suggested, instead of scrapping it out completely.

the map feels so small right now. i can go from end to end it just one go.

that is what i miss the most, i kinda actually enjoyed the original UI but the Food/Oxygen system gave the game some ground to work from. i always had something to do now i just lack motivation, and everything feels like a fetch quest. i still think the gme is amazing and i enjoy playing it but this kinda feels like not a step backward but more like the game lost its footing. idk how to make the game better btw so please ont ask me but the way everything functions now just feels alittle clunky.
