Overtime in payload
Sometimes there's a match where we get stalled for a while during payload, but then we get full on push going but get cut off by a time limit. Anyone else thinks there should be overtime while you're near payload, or is it better beeing sided for the defending team ?

I don't think payload should have over time since its a time race essentially, who can get it further the fastest. The first team starts and goes until time runs out or they get it 100%, then team 2 goal is to get the same distance in less time. So having an overtime would just distort the timer and remove the goal if you can get extra time. Ex. Team 1 got it 80% in 7 minutes and team 2 got it 81% in 7 minutes (and 3 minutes of overtime) they really didn't do a better job pushing it, but they would win.

Or you could have the opposite team 1 gets it 100% in 5 minutes but team 2 gets it 100% with 5 minutes plus overtime, who wins?

Overtime would make no sense in that mode, unless you want to introduce draws.
Payload is whichever team can get the furthest distance in the shortest time.

Overtime in payload makes no sense because reaching 100% is not a requirement.

I undersand now how they gamemode is suposed to work now, i was just thinking that the team that proves to be more focused on objective should be rewarded for it. However the sequesnce of picking heroes can make one team have better set up than the other. That is why i think matches shouldnt be decided at the screen of picking heroes, but given then worst pick a chance to defeat the stronger pick.

It doesn't depend on the pick too much, sure there are really strong champions but even you can still win even you got hard countered
i.e : your team pick Grover and the opponent has Willo. Focusing on killing Willo will help Grover to heal

PS : if you are talking about all flanks team having a hard time, that one is not the game problem, its a user problem
