I am getting this exact error. I have reinstalled Dirt 3, Reinstalled GFWL about 15 times and have messed with all the settingsd i can find. I cannot run GFWL in Compatability mode because in anything other than Win 8 compatability, it gives me an error for a different problem for a program that is already installed on Win 8 standard but want me to install anyways. I have currently found no fix to the problem and am getting really annoyed.

Same problem for me when I try to enter the game over steam.

Dirt 3 is NOT Steam driven,...it is still GFWL.

i have this problem to

don't install the GFWL client from the game it is old! search for the latest version, install and start the game and sign in if it asks.

Fixed it by going to steam\steamapps\common\dirt 3 right click on dirt3_game.exe > Troubleshoot Compatability. Windows changed the settings to Run as Windows 7 and it worked for me. Good Luck guys
