Upkicker problem in Champion Pub and Masters of the Force
I have already posted it in the Bug thread but I would really like to know if others have the same problem or if it might be a setting on my side. The upkicker for the jumping rope in the top left corner in Champion Pub only works after many tries which is very annoying. The same with the upkicker on the left side of the Masters of the Force table. Here it takes sometimes about 30 tries until the ball finally ends up where it is supposed to be. So if someone could let me know if this is a bug for others too I would really appreciate it.
Thank you!

The jumping rope was a bit wonky for me. (120hz) but I haven't noticed anything about masters of the force.

It's not the jumping rope itself. The ball first has to get up there and there is the problem. It is kicked upwards and falls back down and kicked upwards again and so on. And for Masters of the Force it is the Transfer upkicker. The ball just does not get up there - only after way too many tries.

'Upkicker, our prices have never been lower!' - sorry I had to get this Office reference out.

Ecktown can you tell me what FPS are you playing on?
Ecktown May 16, 2019 @ 8:43am
:-) I am ashamed to say that my not for gaming laptop tends to have around 36 FPS while playing Champion Pub. Sometimes it goes a bit above 40 but 36 seems to be the number I see most of the time...

Hm, that might play a factor in this. I think by default the game runs at 60fps but it can run with more if you unrestrict the framerate on your PC.

We've had a couple of occasions reported from older Android devices and some PC-s where this was the case. I'd say this is probably a framerate related issue.

Thank you, Akos. I think I have found a solution. I had V-Sync turned off in-game. After turning it on the upkicker in Masters of the Force worked without problems, so this might have been the problem

I'll save this solution for later if anyone has problems like this again. Thanks for doing more investigation.

I reported a similar bug some time ago. The problem only happens for me in arcade and pro modes, not the jazzed up fx mode.

Haven’t tried v-sync adjustments yet but will report back if it works for me.

Following up on this... The upkicker bug on Champion PUb does NOT occur at all for me when I am playing on my laptop, regardless of mode. Only on my main PC which has a much better graphics card with v-sync off.

I've got the Champion Pub upkicker issue on my laptop but I can't even force the issue on my desktop.

Desktop (i7 4770k / RTX 2080)
I've tried restricting the frame rate to various values but the upkicker always works. (30/35/40/60/90/110/120/144/165/240fps)

Laptop (i5 6200u / Intel HD 520)
With Zen effects disabled performance is typically 30-40fps. With effects enabled the rate increases to 40-50fps, this seems to dramatically increase the reliability of the upkicker.

This leads me to believe the issue is due to frame rate variation rather than specific values. Perhaps the magnet and upkicker timings get slightly out of sync? i.e. when if the magnet is triggered too early the ball can't transfer to the jump rope.

As previously mentioned this problem also exists on mobile. I've got a Moto G4 (Snapdragon 617) and the upkicker is broken, yet it works perfectly on a Poco F1 (Snapdragon 845).

Back home using my good PC... and the upkicker bug still exists on arcade and tournament mode... with and without v-sync enabled. None of the settings in game seems to fix the problem for me. Any ideas?

I know I'm the only one posting on this but I finally found a way to play Champion Pub in arcade and tournament mode without the upkicker bug. I have to change my monitor to 75 Hz refresh and turn v-sync off. V-sync on in any resolution, including 75 Hz, using my GeForce 1070ti and the upkicker goes into an endless loop. No problems at all with my laptop using GeForce 980 mx.

Champion Pub - upkicker to jump rope initiates an endless loop with the only way out being to TILT - not fun! Is there any news on there being a software fix for this? I don't want to be adjusting my system setting to fix one bug in on one table in one game? (NB Flaying Single Player FX3 on Steam)

Could I ask if the ball can't jump up to the rope and stucks half way on the table? Turning Vsync on in the game could solve the problem. Also we have heard that turning off Anti-aliasing could also solve this problem
