Disclaimer: I have zero experience with Steam mods.
I do have a fair amount of experience with Nexus mods and using an installer like Vortex. My question is doesn't mod order matter? Using Nexus mods, order can matter a lot. If load order does matter in Steam mods, where does one find the recommended order? Right now I'm playing vanilla, but plan on adding building mods once I make it to 60.
I hate how Steam now days just up and removes workshop mods you've installed just because someone decided to pull their mods down. I started getting in the habit of backing mine up on certain games because of that.
Anyway hopefully something in that list helps get you started off. On the order thing it is similar to Nexus mods, but the descriptions will usually tell you if a specific mod you're looking at will need to be placed in a certain order or not. Good luck mate.

Probably about half of these mods are no longer supported and updated. Very likely that some of them will cause issues and crashes. Be warned if you decide to use this collection. Pick mods from active modders and save yourself the headache.
If load order matters to a mod, it is almost always available in either documentation from the mod creator, workshop page, or both.
