Known Issue - Game locking up during loading or normal play
Hi Exiles! We're aware of issues reported after the most recent update on June 2, 2021. These reports include the game seemingly freezing when loading to a new area (such as dying and respawning, using a maproom, creating a new character, etc.) and occasionally also freezing during normal gameplay.

We are working on an update now and are aiming to deploy it ASAP. Thanks for your patience!

Hi again Exiles, you may have noticed we pushed a few builds on Steam tonight - these were done in attempt to resolve the freezing issues reported after the June 2 mini-update. Unfortunately, we ran into some issues during this process and were not able to resolve the issue.

We'll continue to investigate the issue once everyone's back in and keep you updated from there. I'm so sorry for the trouble this may cause for anyone affected, and we appreciate your patience while we work on sorting this out.

We're working on a new build now to fix these performance issues. We're planning to release it as soon as we possibly can. We'll continue to keep you posted on this thread.

For those of you currently experiencing an issue when restarting your server where it gets stuck in loading or saving, there is currently a workaround:
In your server installation folder, under \DedicatedServerLauncher\ConanExilesDedicatedServer\steamapps
Delete the following file and restart the server:
Appmanifest_443030.acf

We're still working on a fix for the stability issues and we aim to release a fix for them soon.

We've identified the issue and we're now focusing on getting it fixed and tested.
We've got no estimate time on when this will be completed, but we're working as hard as we can to release it as soon as possible.

A new update is rolling out now. This should address the stability issues presented after yesterday's update. Please let us know how it goes - and thank you for your patience while we worked to get this out!

Hey everybody,


For those of you in private servers and still experiencing some issues after June 3rd's patch, please follow this workaround:

Server restart loop

For those of you currently experiencing an issue when restarting your server where it gets stuck in loading or saving, there is currently a workaround:
In your server installation folder, under \DedicatedServerLauncher\ConanExilesDedicatedServer\steamapps
Delete the following file and restart the server:
Appmanifest_443030.acf

We are currently investigating the issue, but we think we may have spotted it already. It seems to do with SteamCMD getting a bit confused with the back and forth patching of these fixes.
For now, those of you with this issue, please try the workaround and let us know if that addresses your issue, at least temporarily.
