So disappearing thrall followers is all part of the "fun?"
Had a lvl 3 Bearer loaded with goods.
Told her to 'Stop Following' at my camp.
Took a lvl 3 Figher and explored for a while. Came back, she was gone.
Logged out. Logged back in. She's still gone.

Also I asked before about the constant stuttering in certain places of the map. Someone said they were working on a patch. But google searches show this is a problem people reported since spring of '18 at least. Is it ever going to be fixed?

Seriously, what utterly pathetic weak-ass excuse-making.

THE GAME GLITCHED. THE THRALL DISAPPEARED.

That is obviously, by definition, the fault of the game maker.

What is wrong with you?
It may be a glitch, it may be something that happened. Without checking the event log, you wouldn't know if she was killed or returned to her supposed spot where she was last left in guard mode or no event might mean she was glitched, you can't really know. But, as you said, it is now uninstalled. Just for the record though, never take a fully laden sherpa through a very dangerous place, chances are that she would've been killed anyway before making it through the dungeon, losing all that valuable stuff regardless.

Anyway, best of luck.

I love the irony -- I set you straight and put you in your place, you cry to the mods. "Grow up and take some responsibility for your own actions."

To repeat, THE GAME GLITCHED, THAT IS BY DEFINITION, THE GAME'S FAULT.

Man-up and stop making excuses.

Didn't know it was a dungeon until I was in it, by that time it was too late. I'd only drank one "holy man potion" before, that was the yellow lotus from the beginning of the map (south) which IIRC was nothing more than a respec. Sure didn't expect it to send me into a dungeon.

Re: the occurance, there were 5 enemies (2 humans, 3 wolves). Four of them were on me, one wolf on my follower. She was geared w/ exceptional armor and shield (and ax). We were probably 4/5 thru the dungeon. To that point, she'd taken almost no damage; any she took was from me from friendly fire. The wolves do a 'jump/dive attack' and otherwise don't do much.

I quickly took care of the four, turned around, she was gone. Don't remember if the wolf was dead or if I finished it off. As soon as I saw she was gone, no corpse, no nothing, that's when I knew WTH happened. A glitch. No matter what excuses or mental gymnastics anyone plays, weather she disappeared, or her corpse disappeared, in which case she apparently died from only 1-2 hits, despite taking practically no damage to that point, IT GLITCHED.

The rest is just excuses.

I had a greater croc that disappeared outta nowhere while guarding but apparently they are within range of the feeding box so... whatever lol.

I just dont bring any pets/thralls with me on adventures. Too many risks... though mine involve them not being smart enough to disengage and run away when they get too injured, which happens when you run into bosses.

You were most likely not 4/5 through the dungeon if you only met wolves and humans, creatures down there are much tougher than the same ones on the surface.
You said she was a level 3 bearer thrall with exceptional armor, shield and an axe...

A level 3 bearer has only 800 hp and are weak fighters even with decent or good weapons
, much worse than a regular fighter or archer of same tier/faction.
An exceptional armor doesn't really tell if it is a good armor, they come in different weight classes and an exceptional armor isn't much better than the base, so if the base is very low then the better tiers of the same armor will still be low.

I agree that it isn't completely clear that you end up in a dungeon when drinking this potion, but if you listen to what he says and check the info on the potion then there are hints telling you that this will be dangerous, especially if you aren't high level with really good armor and weapons.

Dungeons with loading screens are sometimes a glitchy place for thralls, so your thrall may have glitched, but could also have died, you said 3 wolves and 2 humans at once, damned they can do a lot of damage in a few seconds even to a level 60 player with decent armor - Take it as a lesson to never go exploring or doing something you don't know the consequences of when having a bearer thrall following you full of valuable stuff.

I think most of us have experienced such losses and learned from our mistakes, what I am trying to say is that games like this aren't perfect - Sometimes bad things happens if we aren't careful :)

We're aware of crocs being particularly naughty and disappearing under foundations and other cracks they can find. Our team is looking into that issue and gathering enough info about it to find the cause for that behavior.

Its Truly Amazing that these problems still exist at all in this game:steammocking:
I purchased this in beta sometime ago and played for over 300 hours. I then became fustrated after still seeing the same bugs continue after official launch. So I uninstalled and figured may... one day it would get better. Its been over a year so I just recently decided to try the forum an perhaps reinstall the game and try again..fresh new vigor:steamhappy: But once again I see Developers execuss and fanboy defenders over issues that plauged beta..and ontop you are have tons of Dlcs on a buggy game and its vanilla game is higher in price launch. Think Im going to wait another year on this one again.:steamfacepalm:

As of today this is still a problem. I can't leave my thrall at the edge of town without them randomly agroing on town guards when I run out with a bandit after me, and if I leave them too far away they disappear by the time I come back. I could take the thrall to town, but they are sure to agro on a bandit and die. I have had to reset my save over 8 times due to this issue. It is getting very old. I am discovering I just can't take thralls away from camp to go to town.
