Fatal Error workaround at startup
When the game first tries to launch and gets to the unreal engine screen it always crashes and gives a fatal error, i deleted all mod files and that didnt work, i updated nvidia and uninstalled Geforce Experiance and that fixed it for me. Hope this helps some.

That's a "fix" not a "workaround".

If a game suddeny starts failing to load, it's most likely related to an outside factor such as the graphics driver components getting fouled by a Windows update rather than the game itself. Windows updates sometimes replace a shared file component with a default one that contains no Nvidia or AMD hooks, or maybe confuses the game over whether to run with it's internal graphics commands or the driver commands.

Refreshing the driver installation is often all that's required to get you back into the game. Reinstalling the graphics driver should always be the first step in troubleshooting unless an error message blatantly specifies the problem. This usually saves time, your sanity and from pulling your hair out. This goes for any game using 3D graphics.

By getting rid of GeForce Experience you may be eliminating future problems like this. I haven't installed that on any of my systems for years and I rarely, almost never, have these types of issues anymore.

I reserve mucking with the game or mods for later if a driver or DirectX reinstall fails to resolve the issue. Before I go there, I will have reinstalled Drivers, DirectX and Runtime files. Most times I won't have to go beyond the drivers. Those programs only take a few minutes each to download and install if you have fast internet connection and can be quickly ruled out as the problem source if they don't correct the problem.
