please no 30 day wipe

if servers wiped monthy wahts use in buying and doing hardwork to gather resourses all will be gone in 30 days......!!!!!!!!!

30 days seems a little short, I can understand if this is done for early access purposes on official servers in order to test certain features and easily roll out new updates however I wouldn't mind seeing the wipe schedule extended a bit, perhaps to a season or mid year wipe.

One thing I guess needs to be adressed are these wipes just for buildings on the server or will the wipe wipe everything including characters and character levels?

wipe means everything need to start from scrap again and again

if they wipe every 30 days then it's no wonder why they are slacking about the hacker situation... its a shame that they are gonna wipe everyone's progress every 30 days especially for people like me who work 12 hours a day and can't play a video game full time.

If they go through with this, it means I will not be playing on official servers. I would rather play in single player than waste my time on a server that will wipe.

I plan on putting in a lot of time and energy into building my city. I'm not going to waste my time doing that on an official server just for it to get wiped once a month so some casual can get their participation trophy.

Not the end of the world, but a bad call none the less. It won't make me not buy the game, but for some people it might. I don't think anyone out there is going to be drawn to the game by the promise of 30-day wipes, but it might drive a few away. Hopefully they will reverse the decision.

100% agreed. Just means I will have to start a private server if they do go through with this, but I wonder why they are going to do it too..

30 day wipes are for the alpha stage...they even said they may adjust that during that phase, also on private servers it is up to the host. You even can update your server without wiping it.
It is basically an alpha/beta during such times wipes are absolutly normal.

well at least it proves there wont me any micro transactions because everyone would go mad if they spent money on something that got wiped a week later

Well, I would suggest everyone who does not like 30 day wipes, not to buy the game untill devs make up their mind...
Also unofficial servers are good only if you are owner... they come and go without warning, admin abuse is common, not getting updated on time and so on... It was this way with Rust, Ark and this game is not going to be exception!
For me and many of my friends, it's either official servers, or don't waste your money!

I am out of here until there is clarification that there won't be wipes. Only with bigger updates, which isn't often.

excuse me for being a noob, i have absolut no experience with survival games but what exactly is meant by "wipe"? Does it mean that every progress (building, XP, et cetera) will be resettet to zero?
