30 Day Server Wipe?

Not sure how I'm feeling about this. Do you guys think this will hinder some people due to the fact that they farm to get things and lose it a week later. I can see it add to replayablility. What does everyone think? And is this just for early access or for launch as well(I know it might be to early to tell). Still hyped and going to be playing either way :)

I think it's really a bad idea. I hope it doesn't mean that the game wasn't designed for long-term runs and elaborated constructions. I will probably create my own server.

And we can get T3 and summoning avatar within those 30days? i thought they said it will take alot of time and effort for it.

They better have the building costs be reasonable with a 30 day wipe if they want to keep people on official servers..Putting so much emphasis on a building system that would need to hold up against overly aggressive people on servers.....

Newer or casual players wont stand a chance and would best to avoid game or play unofficial.

So, I do really mind there being wipes. But I was wondering are they only for early access? 30 days seems like a pretty small window.

Guys.... 30 days is a looooooong time! Ofc it wont take a year to summon a avatar :') People will have T3 within 5 days atleast after wipe im guessing.

Dont think so.. Wipes keeps things fresh. Wouldn't you get bored of looking at the same base / bases over a season ++?

Keep in mind that the devs have decided 30 day wipe in regard to updates and performance. Meaning we will most likely see big updates every month which has to wipe a server for it to function properly. And on official servers there will be a lot of bases, and if all those bases are there for say, half a year. It wouldn't be fun for newcomers. Starting on a server that is filled with bases is no fun. So, the newcomer know there is a wipe in say 5 days, where he also can join the fun from the start :D If you get what I mean.

But even tough there is a 30 day wipe, theres also reason to play official = Fun.

If i read correctly, it seems the 30days wipe is only for the official Servers. I suppose private ones should be good to go even if a wipe will probably happen from time to time here & there coz' update.

Im not against wipes if they want it and develop/balance the game around it. But we have to search for legendary thralls for good recipes, summon avatars which will need a lot of time investment as they said etc.
I never thought they go with the 30 day wipe thing. With this we dont even need any structure decay so our former coversation was pretty pointless. Also we dont have to build big cities,search for good stuff just massacre everybody on pvp servers like in rust. 30days in a survival game is nothing.

Personally this updated destroyed every shred of hype I had (and ther was a lot)
I might make my own server, but now I'll probably start looking for another game to play..... Thanks for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the most promising game I've seen in many years....

I do hope that you change your mind, or atleast make a few official servers without wipes... (don't you wanna keep your players)?
