Avoid spy, engineer and sniper for now. Do use the scout a bit when trying to learn a new map. But you should probably not use the scout with the Rift on until you have determined what your limit for motion sickness is.
Is it still useable for people with glasses? Or do you need to remove them to play with the set on?
If you have non-uniform problems like astagmatism you should probably just use lenses youself or pry in your glasses.
This is for the current dev-kit. They are working on more streamlined solutions for the consumer version, but we'll see how that ends up next year.
They dont have to worry about this due to the cost. It will be pretty major barrier of entry for many years to come.
-vr servers will be an excellent way of seperating the haves from the have-nots. And Russians, BRs, etc.
$300 is way less than a decent monitor, and Oculus has stated that they aim for less than that in the consumer version, so I don't agree that the price would be a major barrier.
Not to say that $300 isn't a fair amount of cash, but it mostly separates children/students from people with a job.
Also separates Non EU/US. Thats really my only point. They wouldnt have to worry about people getting used to anything because if you threw that money around you'd already be on board. Personally I'm on board fully.
In addition to what I said above, The Verge has a sort of unboxing video video out now where you can see the extra eyepices and hear them talk about it.
You forgot the rich brats with mommy´s / daddy´s credit card.
