Random Critical hits.

I'd like to hear your opinion on random critical hits. Mine opinion is that they should not exist. I understand 100% mini crit and crit chances as that is how certain weapons act but random critical hits just get on my nerves. Whenever i encouter an enemy and we engage in an intresting 1v1 fight it always ends up with someone getting a lucky crit and killing the other. Crits seem to be the only thing that is currently killing players more often than not. It just really pisses me off how you can be doing really well in a match or against a player but it can be shutdown not just with skill but with pure luck. Having crits based on pure luck and percentages just pisses me off as there is minimal effort or skill involved in getting random criticals. In my opinion it just deducts from the game.

Personally, I don't mind them at all; certain servers will run no random critical hits, and if you prefer playing that way you should look around for some. I play for fun, and so criticals are just another aspect I can laugh about in game; they are not completely luck, and do scale with some damage, but I can understand your frustration. I had a similar frustration on Halloween Event maps, where someone would simply happen to find a Pumpkin and kill me with a 'lucky' crit; although I do admit, it was quite fun doing it to people when you were dealing criticals.

Essentially, critical hits are more for casual players; if you're really seeking a more competitive feeling, then simply look for the servers that do not run random critical hits. As a player who happens to play a fair bit, but in a more casual, relaxed state of mind, rather than a competitive mindset, I do not mind criticals; it's something else I can laugh at and enjoy the game with, even if, at times, they cause me to lose a fight I should've won.

I think there are servers that disable random crits, so you can play games without them.
Me, i dont mind them, sure you get killed by them sometimes but its random so you should get just as many kills with them in the long run, i find them quite funny and sometimes taunt after the kill even if its gonna get me killed(i might not have deserved the kill so let somone else kill me easy(if they can)).

Yes it's random but it's gotten to the extent where people hardly kill me with normal weps and instead just luck out and crit. It angers me so much seeing as it immediatly changes the tide of a battle. If it was balanced god knows how then i wouldn't mind. It's just extremly frustrating to be killed everytime by a lucky critical hit :l

I can understand that; as a Medic, I had a round where every instance in which I died was from a critical hit, and my attacker was either using long ranged explosives, or got a lucky shot on me in direct combat. Perhaps you should search for servers that disable random critical hits? They aren't terribly difficult to find, and I believe most of them host a more serious, skilled player base; considering how you seem to be rather skilled, or just very unlucky, it may be worth looking into for you.

I don't mind them; sometimes I get a random crit and sometimes the enemy does. If I hated them I would just go to a server where random crits were disabled.

I do not mind my character being killed by a random critical hit, but five times in a row is not random.

Crits are what make the fight interesting and mechanic wise it prevents the game from becoming a 'straightest line' problem. Sure Random crits suck when they get you but as someone said. The knife cuts both ways.

I'm not sure what I should be more dissapointed about; the fact that you're trying such a sad, clear attempt at a scam, or the fact that you actually expect people to fall for such a poor, obvious scam in the first place.

It's always pathetic when players attempt to do this... How exactly is this legitimate? It doesn't take much to realize that you're attempting to scam players; I simply hope you get banned rather quickly, considering I've already reported your other thread, it may very well be sooner than I think.

I know they won't remove them but i'd like to see some tweaks at least to balance it out slightly so you're not insta shotting everything. Maybe instead of crits do mini crits?

Just find a non-critical server. No reason to kill the game the way its been for casual players for years just because you get crit one too many times. Just relax. There's servers out there that take care of this my friend.
