this is probably a stupid question but still. I've heard to become a premium user (aka be able to trade.. i think) you need to spend $5 in the tf2 shop. I thought the most common way to do so would be to buy two keys...unfortunatly that comes out too $4.99. Would tf2 count that and make me premium or would i need to buy another item?

Buying anything in store makes you premium, unfortunatly the minimum credit you need for card sales in steam is $5, so buy a key if you want and that should do it.
The cheapiest item in store(i think) is a tour of duty ticket, but you might not play MVM mann up mode but theres plenty of other cheap stuff.
Also, some people say the backpack expander is a good buy, i'm gonna agree, you can never have enough space.

buy a map stamp, they are cheap and you wil get an extra hat, travellers something.

you can buy anything, as long as you buy an item.

You can buy 1 key for $2.00 and become premium, you don't have to use the entire $5.
