Red Tape Recorder OP?
Okay I have not be able to be a victim or user of this new spy sapper (because I need a new comp) but from what I understand about it is that its a major pain to engies. When im able to play TF2 again im not shure if ill play the engineer for tad. But id like to know more about the sapper, is it as annoying as I hear it is? Is it really difficult to get off the buildings? What do you think about the sapper?

Yes, it is very annoying, it takes 3 seconds to downgrade back to level 1, and considering it takes much longer to switch to shotgun, (which you should since if the Spy is next to a building the hit detection will cause you to hit your building with your melee instead of the Spy), kill the Spy so he can't spam sappers, switch back to wrench, and smack the thing twice, you are going to lose that level 3. On top of that the Sapping time difference is pretty short. It becomes obnoxious to take out level 1s but it makes weakening level 3 buildings easy. Is it OP? Probably not. Is well balanced? Not really. Is the concept well executed? Not really.

It's made for annoying, rather than destroying. It does it's job well.

Edit: To make it clear, I do not believe it's OP or UP. I've seen both used.

The purpose of it is to make sentries more manageable to destroy rather than destroying it with a sapper, this is mostly a hardcounter against turtle engineers. If you have played spy, what is the most common thing to do as a spy near a turtling engineer? Spam the Sapper.

It used to downgrade buildings a lot faster than its initial release.

Actually, the nerf they put only affects teleporters. It still downgrades sentries and dispensers just as fast as it did (read: obnoxiously quick).
it's all depends on when it's being used, when a whole team goes engie and turtles like crazy, go ahead, piss them off, send a soldier or heavy in there and wipe the stuff out. but when it's like one engie, it can seem a little OP.

That takes time... The enforcer was out for a while until they updated its stats.

And the Enforcer nerf wasn't even exactly a nerf to begin with.
i think it needs a slight nerf cause just having the sapper attached downgrade your sentry by one level if its on a dispenser its level one instantly. i also hate how mindlessly spaming m1 with the recorder can downgrade all your buildings to level one within seconds
I really hate that stupid sapper. I mean its a great concept, but it is FAR to over powered. By the time you change to your wrench, your sentry is already at level 1.
This weapon makes a spies job WAY to easy. All you have to do is run up and spam sappers and by the time the engi kills you or you cloak away all his buildings are level one, which bassicly destroys them because all it take to destroy his nest is one good offensive class like demoman, heavy, or soldier.

I have this item and it certainly un-grades dispensers a little too fast although i think it's balanced against the other buildings.
Just a comment its UP against minis as you can repair them
i've never been a victim of it, but i do know it can beat the other sapper, although it's slower, it downgrades the building in 1.7 seconds per level
