Steam Market and Premium

I just downloaded TF2, though since I have bought lots of other games that have TF2 items, I get a bunch of TF2 items in the beginning. I looked at the items I have and the game says it is marketable and I have seen them on the market. But in my inventory it says "non-marketable". Do I need to be premium to sell items on the TF2 market place?

Non-premium TF2 players can't trade their items (Notice all your inventory items are not-tradable) that also applies to the Steam Marketplace.
You'll have to upgrade your TF2 to premium in order to make your inventory items tradable
