Performance difference on Ubuntu to Windows?
I can't download the game until tomorrow, is there a fps gain or decrease on Linux rather than PC?

Was a huge decrease for me. Ran better with Wine. Could be my setup, though.

I installed it today and i also see huge decrease :(. On pc i have most of the graphics maxed out and it works like a charm, but on ubuntu i have something like 3 fps on default settings. I have dual core 3 ghz + HD 6850 + 6GB of RAM.

My game was amazingly laggy in Ubuntu. Basically unplayable.

Ubuntu with Unity 2d > Windows 7 > Ubuntu with Unity 3d....from what I have seen

For me it was an FPS gain, but a very minor one. I still uninstalled after use because Flair! and other decal-able items don't display their decals when running the ubuntu version. Might reinstall later after the linux version becomes a little more posished.

Forgot about 3D, same idea a Aero in Windows. Try installing another smaller desktop like IceWM or XFCE then select that next time you log in. Might improve performance since the 3D desktop isn't disabled when games run like Aero is.
