How to increase field of view on a 17 inch monitor?
I've already maxed out my resolution and field of view (resolution 1440*900, and field of view set to 90.00). Is there any way to increase the field of view past the settings available in the options menu?

The title basically says it all.

... But I will elaborate.

TF2 is basically the only graphics heavy game I play on my 17 inch Macbook Pro. (I played HL2 + episodes in the past). I try not to invest a lot of money in gaming, and I've only spent about $30 on TF2 so far. I sometimes play with a mouse, but I travel quite a bit and don't always have a desk or table so its convenient to play with my trackpad. This works fine in most public servers but when I play in more competitive servers I am constantly being killed by players just out of my field of vision. I attribute this to my lack of a mouse since it enables a faster twitch look ability. I have noticed though that arm and weapon animation is more visible in a lot of user videos on youtube, sometimes visibility is so great that you can see the end of it as if there are disembodied arms floating in front of the screen. In my current setup a crits popped soda-popper completely blocks my view while I'm reloading.

Unless the server allows higher FOV, then you're stuck.
I suggest staying near walls to limit where enemies can attack from.

In console type in: viewmodel_fov 90 or 120, increase or decrease if it's not enough or too much.
