Think about it :
The mini-sentry alone rendered scouts useless.
Sure you can destroy it quickly, but it gets rebuilded in about 10 seconds, and don't forget the engie can carry enough metal to build 2 of those while unloading his shotgun at you.
The only viable strategy you have against a minisentry is keep killing the user until he stops using it, but that's unlikely to happen because the engie is always hiding somewhere behind ennemy lines or just pestering your team from afar.
If he's next to the sentry that's even worse, you basically have to kill two things at the same time, one of them has aimbot and the other can chase after you if you retreat.
The weapon itself just ruins the flow of the game entirely, you can't predict where it is, destroying it is useless, it requires no skill to use, and yet it's powerfull enough to prevent you from entering entires area of the map.
