Valve Servers No Longer Appearing in Server Browser

Does anyone know the reasoning behind this being a change in the newest version of Team Fortress 2? I previously used the tags "ctf,valve" in teh server browser and set a ping limit of 100 on the server browser so I only saw Virginia Valve servers. They're the only Valve servers that have ~50 ping. This is pretty frustrating for me since using quickplay feature shows more Luxemburg/Stockholm/Singapore/Dubai servers than Virginia. Oddly enough Washington servers aren't coming up. Not that I'm complaining. I get 80-100 ping on Washington servers. No idea how people even tolerate ping over 50. 50 is annoying enough.

Funny, people are lashing back about the new skinned weapons and ability to pick up dropped weaps, but this is the only thread I've seen with a legitimate complaint about the updates.

I'm all for the Gun Mettle Update. I love the skins, I love the new mechanics. It makes TF2 feel fresh without changes too much of the game to make it not feel like Team Fortress 2. These changes can be game changing at times but they're still subtle enough to not disrupt the gameplay.

It's also a hassle to find Valve servers with okay ping (at least for me).

This is some grade A horseshit VALVe. I want to play on officially supported servers. I also want to be able to pick a server that's running the map I want to play on, has a good ping, and a reasonable ammount of players on it. Why in the nine hells would VALVe servers be removed from the server list?

On a sidenote, we should see if we can figure out a workaround for this BS.

You can still browse official VALVe servers, but now you have to go into "play now!", find the kind of map you want to play on, hit "show servers" and then wait a good 10-20 seconds for it to find 800+ servers that meet your criteria. Additionally, if you want to refresh, you have to cancel and restart the whole process.

I literally don't understand why we can't just browse VALVe servers normally. All this does is make us jump through more hoops to find a server we want to play on. The process of finding a good server to play on should not take upwards of 20 seconds.

I've gotten a few nameless errors when trying to join Valve servers. I've never encountered a crash like other people though. Not sure what's up.

It wouldn't be a problem if I could, say, stop the server search at will and just quickly connect to a server, or if I, y'know, didn't have this weird-аss issue where I can't connect to any servers if I stay on the title screen for more than 30 seconds or so?

It would also be nice if you could specify which location of Valve server hosting you want to connect to. I don't want to be bombarded with 50 servers that are too far away.

This is bull, this is basically a crime against people who play on VALVE servers for a reason. For me its the steady ping, meaning this crap is going to destroy TF2 for me. I can't go back to playing on Skial servers, and I have very few regular servers I go on that aren't valve ones.

This and the item server issues happens often times after big updates, makes one question if they're min-maxing profits with the server costs or something.

Either way, it's kinda counter productive because every other big TF2 update the servers can't handle the loads on any level and thusly the game will never get really big again as casuals get instantly frustrated and even veterans are like, WTF EVERY OTHER TIME.
