Why can't I join a match?

Whenever I press the big "Find a Match" button in the title screen, nothing happens. I can do anything else EXEPT JOIN A MATCH. I can craft, I can switch weapons on my classes, and all that other stuff. Can someone please help?

Try to completly exit steam and then start tf2 again.

And thats why overwatch is better then tf2

i also have the same problem dammit i have been a loyal fan of this game for 4 years but dammit no valve had to ♥♥♥♥ up my favourite game by not letting me play it pleas send me a tekst if some one has figured out how to fix this pleas

Did you try community servers?

no i cant because when i press play game nothing happens i've try'd a lot but nothing seems to work

remove a hud if you can or install ahud
thats what i did to fix it

Ok here is a fix that may work.

1. In the steam interface on the top left where it says steam look to the right of that and click on view.

2. It will bring up a list of different things now click on the one that says servers.

3. It will bring up a server list.

4. Now click on change filters in the server list window.

5. Where it says game click on that and look for the game Team Fortress 2 in the list.

6. Now find a server to play on.

7. Let me know if this works.

a what ??? what is that is it the thing that makes the menu look diffrend???

weirdly if you let the thing search for all type of matches it's pretty quick but if you target one specific mode it takes years

Nah, you just have to wait 2 hours (the worst part is thats not exagerrating that much) to find a match because of TF2's new 'casual mode' - if you wanna actually play the game go on the 'community servers' list.
