Can't open crates in my country?
So I just bought some MvM tickets and a key so that my Steam wallet funds come out even.

But I can't open the crate because I'm not allowed to open crates in my country, since when is this inplimented? And where can I find more information?

Because if this means that I can't open a single crate then 1 and like 1/4 slots of my invetory are completely useless.

For a month now...ish Dutches banned it. You can still trade or sell them tho. Let me get a source.

You can refund in-game purchases as long as 48hrs haven't passed since the purchase and you haven't modified/consumed the item.

They already banned it, but that's the first thing that pops up. You probably can find more yourself. And easier since it's your country lel.

I read a bit about it. There isn't a ban for ALL crates and lootboxes (yet) but Valve decided to enforce new updates that makes it impossible for people in the Netherlands and Belgium to open crates and lootboxes, so Valve can't be hold liable. Also for a while people here and in Belguim couldn't trade apparently but that's no longer the case now

The article I read was mostly about about CSGO but I think it also counts for TF2. Article: https://variety.com/2018/gaming/news/players-csgo-netherlands-and-belgium-cant-open-loot-boxes-1202871592/
Kinda a bummer because the key I bought was for the Inferno case and I basically like all the warpaints in that crate.

I find it kinda odd that Valve doesn't say this anywhere, I can't find anything about it on the TF2 website and when I got in the main menu it didn't mention anything in the "what's new" tab.

They announced it on the tf2 blog. They explicitly say that you should follow the blog.

I need a link to that wiki page, I couldn't find anything about it one the page about crates so I either didn't look hard enough or I was on the wrong page.

I need a link to that blog, the only blogs I could find were the news blog on steam and blogs on r/tf2.
