Gratiana bugged, no option to recharge purging wand

I found a purging wand in Dark Cavern and used it to kill 4 shriekers. But when I talk to Gratiana there is no option to recharge the wand. When I first got the wand a quest popped up and my quest log said to talk to Gratiana about the purging wand but when I talk to her there's no option in her dialog at all regarding the wand. It seems this quest is completely broken and now I can't recharge the wand or complete the quest.

I found out you have to rescue Gareth first. Then she'll do it.

If you've rescued Gareth and still can't recharge the wand, try selling it to Gratiana and then buying it back. She was able to recharge it afterwards no problem. Just make sure you are using a "Drained Wand" with the Purge ability on it, and not just some drained wand you picked up elsewhere.

Also, she won't have the option unless the wand has 0 charges. Go out on the beach near her and purge the dead magister there to lose 1 charge.

I spent an hour looking for a fix before finding this thread. Thank you Elegant Bastard for explaining that she won't recharge it unless it has 0 charges. Annoying AF, since I would want to keep one charge for emergency from a characters and players perspective if I didn't know an NPC could recharge them, and obviously would be asking other mages in towns about this until I figure out how I can do so.

Big oversight imho. Pretty much forces players into metagaming to figure this ♥♥♥♥ out.

What do you mean? When i talk to her I don't get any options to do anything, she simply thanks me for recovering her soul jar.
