How did you win the dream portal arena fight? [SPOILERS]
I've been working on this fight for 2 hours. Save scumming like it's my birthday. I'm making no progress. I'm level 20, and so are the enemies, but they still whoop my ass. I've even cheesed down all the black mirrors, so I just need to worry about getting the hell out of there.

Last time, I snuck The Red Prince through the door that appears after the mirrors go down. Everyone else is still in the fight. What's worse is that nobody else is allowed to go through that door, for some reason. Can't flee, either. Because of the size of the arena, the enemies are always too close for that. This is a terribly, terribly frustrating encounter.

Anybody out there beat this thing? How did you do it?

You just have to make everyone go through the door. You have to open it with every char.

If you can't do it your save might be bugged/corrupted.

Maybe you can try to use the pyramide to tp to The Red Prince.

Hey thanks. I ended up beating the fight like this:

1) Cheese down all the portals with my geomancer (impale from the stairway and the lower platform)

2) Spread all my characters out. 1 top of stairs. 1 center of platform. Two on the outer ring of the platform. Alexandar didn't cast madness on the party with this spacing, which was basically the sole reason the fight was impossible, before.

3) Initiate the fight by taking one character a little farther than the top of the stairs.

4) Focus down Alexandar while Malady's shackles of pain wear off.

5) Take down Malady and Windego as possible.

Much easier, this way. Still sucks that there are so many fights like this--you have to lose, then do things before the fight even starts in order to win. My save must have been bugged, as you suggest. After the first member of the party went through the door, nobody else was allowed to go.

I sent my rogue in solo. Kill a mirror, then Chameleon Skin and stealth until Chameleon Skin is off cooldown. Kill another 2 mirrors and repeat until all the mirrors are dead. Once all the mirrors were gone, I just had him assassinate everyone. Then I brought in my other 3 party members.

You can just use the teleport skill to break the mirrors

Best way, IMO, is to use Ifan (or another ranged character with the Skyshot ability) to snipe all the black mirrors from the center circle so they're all broken before the fight even begins. I'm sure you're aware that the mirrors revive the enemies after they die. If not, then you are now. But breaking all the mirrors first will bypass a lot of trouble you may have enduring.

In regards to flat-out winning the fight, I focused down Windego first, then Alexandar, then Malady. The reason for this was:

1. Malady keeps her distance and uses Shackles of Pain, so you'd best save her for the end when you're able to sacrifice some HP for the sake of damage.
2. Alexandar doesn't leave the middle area so long as you keep most of your team there, making it easy to keep him in one spot and surround him.
3. Windego can be corralled to the center by a rogue or a Warfare character with Phoenix Dive. She has the lowest Physical Armor, and is therefore the easiest to kill provided you're not a magic-focused party.

My team lineup was Red Prince, Ifan, Beast, and a Rogue Custom Character. Ifan broke the mirrors before the start, then teleported to a higher platform to start the fight. Rogue teleported to the platform Windego starts on and dealt as much damage to her as possible before she began to run, (Ruptured Tendons worked wonders on her and had her to half health before she even got down the ladder), then just focused her down with Red Prince and Beast while Ifan chipped away at Alexandar. Once she was dead, Prince and Beast moved back to focus Alex down while my MC Cloak and Daggered over to Malady to start chipping away at her. Ifan sniped at Alex with the other two until he was dead, then all three moved to help with Malady.

If your gear is all appropriately leveled, and your skills are built right, you shouldn't have too much trouble with this fight. It's no harder than most of the boss fights in Act 3, 2, or 1.

Kill them repeatedly.. use a summon spider to kill the mirrors.

Using a summon doesn't trigger the encounter. So have a demon or spider run around and destroy the mirrors before you move your party from their initial positions.

I used the teleport skill and the mirror did not break. At all. Not even 1 damage.
I used a lot Geomancer skills and my bone spider to destroy the mirrors. The first encounter will still happen but no respawning!! Thanks for everyone's suggestions here.

Summon spell was the easiest way for me.

1. Cheese the mirrors.
2. Get your whole party to the edge of the center closest to where Windego spawns.
3. Trigger fight by having one of your melee characters use a special movement ability to get to the platform where Windego spawns (or as close as you can).
4. Once fight starts and it's your turn, have your party gang up on Windego. She's the easiest to kill and you should be able to at least cc her (if not kill) in turn 1.
5. Your party's set-up and movement toward Windego should mean Malady will cast a buff and waste APs moving in range but won't get off much of an attack in turn 1.
6. You will have to absorb whatever Alexander does on turn 1.
7. It should be 4 to 2 now and much easier. We took out Malady next. Used teleport to fling Alexander away in the meantime.
This fight is BS considering all the terrible things I can do to them require their armor to break, but all the terrible things they can do to me do not.

Being controlled just about the entire battle, not even allowing me to interact with the game. Is not entertaining

this is the fight with like 20 respawn mirrors?

I think we just beat them up then figured we had to smash mirrors, then we beat them up again
I don't really remember there being a trick or w/e, tho it was def kind of a grind

this is redicolus with lone wolf, as they keep spamming mad, terrifying and charm abilities, meaning you can litterally go 3 turns without being able to actually do anything

God bless fossil strike with it all mirrors can be destroyed with no problem with visibility. Just aim and wait for color border appear on the mirror.
