Romance?

I heard you can romance characters, how does that work? And can you do so as an undead?

When i was on the boat after act 1 and i dumped Fane to hire a merc as i was pickpocketing, when i asked him to rejoin, and i'm playing Sebille, i shagged him hahaha..

Also as Sebille i shagged a female lizard prostitute. Cross gender and species no problem here. It's like living in Amsterdam. I'm sure i've passed up other potential hookups, so as a guess i'd say if you can random shag, there'll probably be opportunities for romance. Just a guess though. So far i'm level 15 and in act 2.

Okay, so I could play as an undead, and romance Lohse, or Sebille?

You need to talk to your companions, flirt or be nice in general, help them doing their personal quests and stuff. As the game progresses they usually open up more (depending on the character) and at a certain point in the story you have the opportunity to ♥♥♥♥ one of them if their attitude value is high enough.
edit: you can play an undead, will possibly change the dialogue, but you can still romance one of them.

Nope. Gender, race, being undead will change parts of the dialogue but it wont stop you^^

This is what I did. The first playthrough, I played Sebille and romanced Lohse; second playthrough I played Lohse and romanced Sebille.

The sexual encounters are purely descriptive but it is very good erotic novel quality writing.
