The old nameserver had troubles. I changed to another one, but it may take a while for this to work out.

can you give a direct ip adress ? like http://158.26.47.266 ?
Sorry, I only host ther servlist (which is 5.135.125.166) and the domains. They point to the correct nameserver (as far as I can tell). The correct IP is unknown to me.

Update: The DNS server seems to work, as a lookup of {LINK REMOVED} works. Hence, the server itself may have troubles.

Is it Isaac that hosts the server?

I guess the server might be down because of the hurricane that struck the city wherein it was hosted (Panama City, Florida) on the last of August.
Rest assured we are working on it. The reason for simultaneous DNS failure and webserver failure are still under investigation. Sorry

Thank you for looking into this.
Ok, an update: The change of nameserver on Firday triggered a email check from ICANN that this was ok and the domain did not got hijacked. However, since I took over the domains from Timothy two years ago, every attempt from my side to change the domian holder record to my address failed. Since at that time it did not cause any troubles, I left it at that.

But now the email verification failed and hence {LINK REMOVED} is suspended by ICANN. Since inside the forum {LINK REMOVED} is used (and {LINK REMOVED} forwarded to {LINK REMOVED}, {LINK REMOVED} and serverlist works, while {LINK REMOVED} is suspended. The server works and by editing your hosts file one can even access the forum.

So I expect that my domainhoster sorts this out on Monday.
I just found a link to this discussion. Although I host the forum and a lot of other resources, the server is not here in Panama City, FL. In fact, it is in Montreal, Quebec, in a very good datacenter. Don't worry about the weather. :)

I checked a number of things on the server, and as far as I can tell, I don't think it's a server problem. I think it's a problem at the registrar. And Markus (Prissi) is working on that side of things.

Meanwhile, I registered simutrans.space and the forum is running at http://forum.simutrans.space/ for now until this is fixed. If you're a member of the forum, you should receive a notice to this effect.

Other subdomains will be added on an as-requested basis.

My apologies for the problems. I'm not yet sure of the source, but rest assured I've put in a lot of work on my end trying to fix, and so has Markus. Your patience is requested while we try to fix it all.

Also, I'm sorry I didn't think to come to Steam sooner.
Oh, sorry - I'm Isaac Eiland-Hall. Daychilde is my nickname. :)

The forum doesn't have its own IP address, so it won't work, unfortunately. But http://forum.simutrans.space/ is a temporary domain that is now working.
