What is the goal of this game?
First, my apologies for that clickbait title, but my real question is too precise for me to be able to put it in the title.

Now, where should I start?
In the beginning, it's simple, it's a ranch game. You capture slimes, put them in a ranch, get their essences (or plorts), and sell it for brouzoufs.
Then you get the key, you unlock a few new areas, get better slimes, leave the one you had run away (or burn them alive, you monster), and start making a LOT of money, and then unlock more areas.
And this is where I have a problem : currently, I just unlocked the laboratory. I have three ranches, containing rad/crystal slimes, rock/explosive slimes, and phosphorus/cat slimes, so I'm pretty safe when it comes to money. The beef I have right now are the following :
-unlocking the teleporters that are required to keep exploring and unlock the hunter and honey slimes requires unique ressources that I can only get by using drills (that are one-use, of course), so the game is essentially a waiting game, now,
-all the prices for the essences are lowered to the minimum, so trading giant stacks of splort is now a pain, since I have 50 of them each time.

So yeah, I'd like to know :
-Is there any way to avoid waiting for these damn drills to do their work? I want to raise slimes, not strike the earth. This is Slime Rancher, not Meinkraft.
-How can I raise the prices for the splorts/plort/whatever they're called?
-Is there a quicker way to put 50 splorts in the selling machine or the refinery storage?

frankly you should be happy plort depositing is as good as it is now. it used to be a steady, unchanging pace. if you do your daily rounds of exploring and food gathering, you should come back to it being late enough for it to seem worth sleeping till the next day which will speed up the extractors.also a small tip, you can scroll to the next yupe of plort while shooting them to keep the speed up when you deposit them into the refinery and plort market. i'm not sure what you mean by needing specific resources to get to honey and hunter slimes. and the plort market's prices will go back up if you don't sell that type for a while. so either make excessive plorts to make up for that, or put them into the refinery while you wait for them to go back up in price. or the classic thing of keeping the more expensive plorts in a silo until the price is good.

All my silos are already filled with the best plorts I have.
I'm thinking of purging all my ranchs.
