Current combat situation
What is the current state of combat? All of the threads I see on it are dated. On an evolving game like this one, things like that can change overnight. Can your character actually defend himself? I had a skeleton come after me. He charged right into my camp, although I had the little totem set so that it was supposed to be a safe zone. He killed the lion that was there with me and then attacked me. It would be nice to have a sword or a fire spell that I can use. And if there are things like this in the game, an explanation on how to use them. If there is a tutorial for combat, I haven't found it yet.

Before anyone gets the idea that I am just whining, I actually love the game. I have bought about 30 EA survival games so far. Of them, this one is one of the few I really love. It is a great game.

Hi,

There are several weapons you can craft to defend yourself: swords, bows… you can craft them in the alchemy circle by combining elements Metal + Nature for basics ones.

You can also use spells, using Electricity, combining elements like Fire + Wind, Frost + Wind…
To do that you will need to first produce the required elements using the Oven, Windmill, etc...

You can also find chests in the map which can contain some armor or weapons.

Finally you can give life to creatures and they will defend yourself.

Regards,
Marc

Thanks much for the reply. I guess I haven't gotten far enough along to figure that out. It didn't pop up at the beginning of the game, and the skeleton did. So I wasn't sure how to do it. Will start on a map that has a village for now until I figure out how to do the crafting on this.

I do love the game, and am looking forward to watching it unfold as it develops.

I had trouble with Skeletons until I discovered that wind + fire makes a weapon. You can shoot fireballs at skeletons, also stone + wind is a good weapon. Hold wind in your hand and you can fly!!! I have discovered only a bit in this game much of it from playing with combinations of elements :)
