Bug in prologue?

I've tapped the hell out of the action button at the first gate in the beggining of the prologue after killing the first mutated creatures. The gate will not go down. anyone else experience this?

I had this too, couldn't find anything online. Verified steam cache, deleted and reinstalled, nothing seemed to help.
Finally got frustrated and just unplugged my xbox pad at that part switching it to keyboard controls; tapping E then when it asked worked. Plugged pad back in after and it's fine.

Not much of a fix haha, but hope it works out for you
