This game is brought to us by the devs who brought us Magic Life (Not available on Steam at the moment). Unlike Magic Life, there is only one difficulty level, and you do not play against other characters. You also do not lose vigor or mana whilst traveling between buildings (yay!)

You have one (ultimate) goal, and one only: To become human again. You will have to become influential enough to gain the information you need, and powerful enough to cast the needed enchantment. In order to do this, you will need to complete a variety of quests and studies.

There are some localization issues with the game. Things can be strangely-worded, and you are referred to as if you are male, even if you play as a woman.

The graphics are darkly environmental - nicely done, and without being too dark. There are two or three hidden object scenes, but they are simply mini-games, and part of the story. There is a HINT button, and it refills quickly, plus there is no mis-click penalty, so random clicking works just fine.

The first time you play the game is basically a learning process. Once you learn how things are done, you can start working out strategies to get things done more efficiently, and to do some planning for the future. ie. What kind of job(s) you want to work toward, the order in which you wish to do your quests, etc.

You have your own room at City Hall, which you can decorate and rest in, and your pets and decorations will determine how much mana and vigor are replenished by resting there. Also at City Hall is a tab called Vacancies, which is where you choose the jobs you wish to have.

Overall, I think the game (upon my second run-through) took me about three hours to complete. Once you have reached your goal of becoming a human, you CAN continue playing in order to accomplish any personal goals you might have (maybe you want to become the mayor of the city! It's up to you!)

Although I missed the competition of working against other in-game players, I came to like not being rushed to accomplish things, and really enjoyed the game. Below are some tips to help you on your way.

GUIDE:

The game does not give you some important information -- things I only knew because I played Magic Life first. I will detail them here, along with info we ARE given:

• Vigor: This is your health meter, and is found in the bottom left corner -- the red goblet. When the goblet gets too low, you will learn more slowly and/or make less money due to being too tired. Increase your vigor by eating at the Tavern, or by using a potion from the Laboratory. You can increase your overall health (how much your goblet holds) by completing courses at the Training Camp. Any course that says +(number) Health will make you more resilient.
  
• Mana: Magic power, found in the bottom left corner, the jar filled with blue. You need mana for studies, work, and of course for casting spells. To replenish your mana, visit the circus and watch a show, or use a potion from the Laboratory. To increase your mana capacity, take courses and study at the Academy. Watch for courses that have a +(number) Maximum Mana.
  
• Intellect: The higher your intellect, the faster you will be able to learn new courses (less vigor per study session). Increase your intellect by taking courses at the Academy. Watch for courses that have a +(number) Intellect.
  
• Influence: The higher your influence, the less you have to pay for food, shows, clothes, courses, etc. Increase your influence by taking courses at the Academy, and from some of the items that you buy at the Tailor. Watch for courses and clothes that have a +(number) Intellect.
  
• Agility: Required for some jobs. Increase by completing courses at the Training Camp. Watch for courses that have a +(number) Agility.
  
• Magic Strength: Higher levels required to get some jobs, and for casting spells. Increase your magic strength by taking courses and studying at the Academy. Watch for courses that have a +(number) Magic Strength.
  
  BUILDINGS:
  Some courses require Goods, which you can buy at the Store. Also at the store are Decorations for your room.
  
• Buy Furniture for your room at the Workshops.
  
• Buy Potions at the Laboratory.
  
• Buy Food at the Tavern.
  
• Buy Pets and "Vehicles" at the Menagerie.
  
• Buy clothes, shoes, and decorations (necklaces) at the Tailor.
  
• Take courses to increase Health and/or Agility, or learn spells at the Training Camp.
  
• Your Room and job Vacancies are found at City Hall.
  
• Watch shows at the Circus to increase your Mana.
  
• Take courses at the Academy to increase your Magic Strength, Intellect, Influence, and Maximum Mana.
  
  TIPS:
  When you buy new items such as clothes, furniture, decorations, pets, vehicles, etc., you get a bonus for Vigor and/or Mana. USE THIS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE! Before you buy something that gives you a bonus, work work work (money money money!) to use up as much Vigor and Mana as possible, THEN go and buy.
  
  You can use the same technique with quests. Use up as much Vigor and Mana as possible before finishing up a quest. You will get to choose your reward, and sometimes it will be a complete refill of Vigor and/or Mana. Nice!
  
  You get a timed bonus on some of the more expensive foods (purchased at the Tavern). For example, Wine will increase your movement speed, while the Turkey Meal will increase your Learning Speed!

What a fun game! I can't pin any specific genre to it because it's a mix of many things. It's about a town full of Vampires so I suppose that may draw some and deter others from playing. You begin by picking either male or female and then choosing from many different faces and hair colors. The game kind of feels like a simulation in the fact that you have to work at a job to earn money for everything. (By the end of the game, there are a ton of jobs to choose from). You have to rest and/or eat to regain your strength. You also have to visit schools and learn new things to raise your stats in an RPGish sort of way. Then there's my favorite part which is dressing your Vampire up and decorating the interior of where they live. Buying better clothing will raise certain stats. Buying better furniture, knick-knacks, and pets helps your Vampire to relax more so they gain more health and mana when resting at home. You also help out a multitude of Vampires in Twilight City with different tasks. Some of said tasks involve hidden object scenes so you can add HOG into the mix. You can cast spells by buying them, learning them, and then drawing their symbol on your spell sheet. You ride a steed around town and can buy better ones that move faster and even heal you while you're traveling from building to building. And when I say steeds and pets, don't expect a lot of them to be normal. Vampires like undead and demony things. :p

In short, this was a pure pleasure to play and I definitely plan on going through it again.

Not the worst vampire game ever made - having said that , this game is not Dawnguard and it is not Vampire the Masquerade.

This game is a casual-but-grindy "rpg-on-rails" with significant grinding elements (in this case, clicker). There is some similarity to Hero of the Kingdom. There is upgrading of your house, clothes, jobs, and other skills. There is some tedium to it but overall it was a pretty fun experience unlocking the many upgrades.

I was looking for a relaxing casual game and picked this up in a bundle. While I don't have terribly high expectations for a hidden object type of game, I still can't recommend you buy this one because it is hours of grinding (yes, grinding in a hidden object game)...

Pros:
+ Nice art style
+ Nice premise (though there was no introduction to it so I was a bit lost before I figured out what was going on)
Cons:
- Grind, grind, grind - click the work button over and over to make money until your vigor runs out, click the rest button over and over until your vigor is replenished, click the learn button over and over until you have learned the spell/ability (or your vigor/mana runs out and you can go click rest over and over). Over and over and over with the clicking the same button and then moving one location and clicking and clicking again.
- Very little to do other than grind - by the time I finally gave up after playing for 3 hours I had played maybe 3 hidden object scenes and finished a maybe handful of quests (one at a time since that is the limit) that didn't require grinding for money and then shopping.

You're in love with a human. Too bad for you, you're a creature of the night, you're a vampire. The only way for you is to become human again, for that, you go to Twilight City, where you'll have to earn your life and learn spells, fighting skills or anything that can help you in your quest.

If the story seems common, I don't know how it's finishing as I was victim of a bug - in other words, don't use the teleportation spell while you've casted another one. Besides, if my character was moving, I wouldn't have to resort to that solution.

Anyway, I was expecting the casual adventure games, I ended with a mix of management and adventures. Up to the point I've been, I stayed in the city, travelling through different buildings, because quests asked me to do so. Indeed, you'll have to take a job (like being a butcher in the tavern, a judge in the town hall or even a professor at the academy) because you'll need money to buy you clothes, pets and to pimp your room, without forgetting items needed to learn expensives courses in the academy or the casern. I should also mention that you can restore your energy through the tavern and your mana by watching spectacles in the circus. Besides, you can also buy potions. And if you don't want to spend your money, go sleep in your room and depending on how it's furnished, you will resplenish your mana and your energy at different levels.

Between these, well, quests will also lead you to find objects in an hidden object scene or just on the town. And when you're not casting spells, you can still work with the job you've chosen for the moment, as you can change depending on the promised income.

In other words, you're ending up in a casual management game, with a mix of skills that can be upgraded by learning stuff, wearing specific clothes or having friends (ghosts, skeletons, animals, even those you can ride). That kind of gameplay was a little boring at first as I wasn't expecting that, however, I got easily hooked up until I was stuck because of a freaking bad move.

Also, the ambiance is a mix between humor and darkness, kinda like Sinister City. Milena and Evelyn are jealous of each other, Edgar is only worried for his animals, Gregor is a crazy scientist whose experiments are often a failure, Victor is often in trouble with his assistants, as for Marcus, Alain and Cassandra, they're perhaps the most normal people you'll meet, though the latter is always pushing you to improve your looks, your room and to change for a better job.

The graphics aren't the most important here, as you see only backgrounds (that are moving a little) and a paper on the side with all you can buy, you can learn or work. The main town is mainly set in the dark and the weather is also changing with rain appearing often. The characters are well drawn, however, they don't look at all as vampires. Yourself, you don't look like one: you can customize your character by choosing the sex, their figures, their haircut, their hair color. After that, with the clothes, you can also choose the color.

The soundtrack is acceptable, I didn't really pay attention to that.

Twilight City: Love as a Cure is a very good surprise, even if I was stuck and that I didn't want at all to begin a new profile. It's a nice way to play, even if I was expecting clearly more hidden objects and less learning or working. However, I find the price a little too high for it, so, either buy a bundle where it is or wait for a good discount.

Please do not buy this 'game'.

You 'play' a vampire who wants to be human. Why? Well, uh... oh! Because you have a human lover, yeah! Do you ever meet said lover? Oh. No, no you dont. So you actually have no investment in becoming human. Or any choice in the matter.

In fact, the 'gameplay' largely involves becoming a more powerful vampire. I guess? There arent any descriptions for the various one-cast spells you learn, so you go to one place and click 20 times to earn some pennies. Then you go to another location and click another 20 times to spend those pennies. Occasionally, one of the awful npcs who are bland and forgettable beyond imagining will give you a quest to go and click 20 times in a different location! Every now and again you get to play a hidden object game - but there are no timers, or consequences for clicking on wrong objects, so... click away!

Heady stuff, I tell you.

Eventually, you reach some arbitrary level of power and the game finishes. Poof! You are no longer a vampire, love conquers all. You still do not meet the paramour for whom you, supreme vampire dark lord, have given up your 'Darkness'.

There is absolutely no replayability. The storyline is absent possibly dead, the graphics and music are bland as three day old porridge, and I feel terrible for wasting the several hours I spent completing this. Taking a page from its namesake everything in the game is an Anne Rice-esque stereotype of sexy vampires.

There are no redeeming features, no badges or even achievements to help you force your way through. Do not follow in my footsteps. For you there is still time!

DO NOT BUY THIS PROGRAM

Well, I loved it as a silly casual clicker, but there's a game-breaking bug preventing further progress. Alas. My vampire paper doll will never be human now.

I feel like I wasted 3 hours because thanks to a bug I can not make progress. I'm about to cast a spell but it says "you don't need to do this now". According to a Bigfish games forum post you can avoid this by casting the spell outside the city instead in a building. However I was casting the spell outside and I still got this error and because of this I can not go further in the game. At the moment I just don't feel like restarting the game, all my progress is now gone to waste and it makes me angry.
The game itself is good, but VERY casual. By this I mean you can not die, there is no time limit or anything like that. The story is very sub-par, your character is a vampire who eats human food and want to become a human again. Yes, it's about whiny-a$$ baby-faced modern hollywood "vampires". Despite these clichés the game itself is fun, even if it's just a linear clicker game, I really enjoyed it while it lasted.

I'm just wondering who was that graphic "artist" who blatantly copypasted the face of David Gandy to be a face preset. His stock photos costs about 500 eur each, I really doubt they paid a license just to use his face as a preset. I don't know about the rest but they all look like cheap copypastes/overpaints of random stock models. Why waste the precious time making original portraits, right? Well the current ones do the job I guess, but as an artist I prefer original ones.

To my knowledge the devs completely abandoned this game (their website is also defunct) so expect no support. It's a shame really. I liked this game but I can not recommend it to anyone because the game might crap itself any time and your playtime will go to waste.
Will the character ever be human again? Who knows, my story ended too early.

The game itself is fun and very enjoyable but at this state I don't recommend this game to anyone because of very high chance of game breaking bugs. Buy it at your own risk.

On a bottom note: it deserves a sequel, because it has great ideas and good concepts, with a bit more depth and polish this could be a very great game.
