We just released a patch with a couple small but meaningful fixes:

• Re-enabled Private Matches
  
• Don't start the matchmaking timer until two players have joined
  
• Award points for killing opponents with a solar flare

And what pairs better with Online Matchmaking than full lobbies! That’s why we’re celebrating launch with a Free Weekend! From 10:00 am PDT tomorrow thru Sunday at 1:00 pm, anyone can play Moonshot completely free. Top to bottom, local and online, all modes and maps completely free.

You asked for it, so we pulled out all the stops! We're incredibly excited to announce the release of NETWORK MULTIPLAYER! Now you can link arms accross the globe and sing Kumbaya to the tune of Moonshot!

With this release also comes an improved menu system, including an updated main menu screen, player select screen, and a simple system to invite your Steam friends into glorious rounds of orbital kung fu. There are still a few items that haven't been ported to network multiplayer, but we don't want that to stop you from blowing up your amigos online!

Hey everybody, great news! We've just updated the Multiplayer Beta branch to add MAPS and MODES! This should breathe some fresh life into the networked play for all you Beta testers out there.

This update also resolves the issue with level 2 and 3 homing missiles blowing up on firing. We've also dialed back Siege mode strength and sped up the transform time on Flight mode by popular request. There's a raft of other minor fixes as well.

As always, you can access it by going to the Steam Library and right click Moonshot. From the context menu, select Properties. Select the Betas tab and choose Networked Multiplayer from the drop down.

Feature spotlight: Coins

When a tank or a pilot is destroyed, coins are ejected into space. Collecting coins from a destroyed tank awards a score bonus. We hope that, by introducing coin collecting, we promote more risk taking among players and more dynamic matches. Moonshot's at it's best when tanks are on the move!
