Both the Creatures and the Soldiers have a special team supporting class, which respectively is the Revert and the Medic. I disadvise to choose any of these classes in a duel type of game - 1v1 - since both the Revert and the Medic make the best of their abilities only when there are other teammembers around.

Revert can vomit proximity mines resembling a mutated stomach. Proximity mines of Revert can stick to the walls, so make sure you place them in tricky places, as Soldiers intuitively know this is something to shoot at, thus best be cought surprise. Mind yet Revert can support only two mines simultaneously; placing a third mine will result in cessation of one of the earlier placed.

Zek Creature in phase out form - the wraith - is immune to any common gunfire or explosion, unnecessarily though immune to the effects of Soldier TMD, such as Impulse, which will cause Zek to phase in - materialize - next to receiving damage. Zeks are very vulnerable to the Impulse, which is why sneaky tactics with barrel dropping are recommended against Bruiser type Soldiers.

In case Phase Tick possesses a Soldier, compatible special abilities of the Phase Tick - such as the extended senses, if chosen on character setup - can be maintained, making fighting as a Soldier on the side of the Creatures a unique experience.

The weapon you carry as a Soldier does affect your speed of movement, building upon the basic speed of movement given Soldier class has. It is redundant to tell those who have already played some shooters that speed of movement does matter.
Sniper rifle is good only when used how it is supposed to be used, which is, with the scope view. Firing it from the hip will get you nowhere, especially when moving around. In case you traverse the map as a sniper Soldier, grab your handgun, it should be more helpful in any random case.

Combat shotgun is very inaccurate against small mobile targets, such as Phase Ticks.
Teleporter of the Blitzer class Soldier is an instant kill weapon, if to be able to use it that way.
Radion type of Creatures, although the most powerful unit class in direct encounter, may have difficulty traversing the map, as inability to cross typical doorframes and tight passages due to sheer size may force Radions to defensive positions with occupying only wide enough areas.

In case you find yourself playing a duel match using a Phase Tick Creature against a skillfully handled Bruiser Soldier - the Soldier with Impulse special ability - it would be best if you changed the character class. One can change the character class in-game anytime pressing escape, then entering character class options and confirming the new choice on exit. The choice will become valid upon next respawn.

Remember they can hear you - the opponents. Whatever specific action you do, be it sprint, weapon reload, jump, use of special abilities, interaction with environmental equipment, walking with powerful weapon on constant ready - some allow that - gives audial hints as to where you are to enemies in vicinity. Avoid making unnecessary noise, especially if you play a Creature.

Creatures basing on direct ambush tactics, such as Zek and Phase Tick types, benefit on having extended senses trait selected in their setup, allowing to detect Soldiers even through solid obstacles. This is helpful in determining what actions to undertake for best outcome. Mind Soldiers may choose trait blinding these extended senses of Creatures, nullifying the effect, nonetheless the choice could either be a hit or a miss, depending on the strategy of Creature team.

Melee attacking an actively cloaked Phantom Soldier is a way of suiciding. Cloaked Phantoms do take clean damage from bullets of other Soldiers - the case of Phase Ticks - while explosions, such as barreldrops and Radion missles, safely for the attacker cause Phantom shield to exhaust quicker. Radion spore spit is also way of making the Phantom shield go down quicker.

Phantom Soldier players, remember that even when you vanish, an enemy passing nearby can still see the nickname hanging over an empty spot, knowing where you are, so choose good spots! Creatures with extended senses also can detect you.

Zek Creatures can summon themselves a ready explosive barrel on command. Explosive barrels are effective ranged weapons, able to severely damage multiple opponents within a radius of impact. Nonetheless, these explosive barrels are doubleedged trade. Each Soldier maintains basic ability to manipulate enabled environmental objects with TMD, while explosive barrel is such an environmental object. Crafty Soldiers can pull the barrel out from your hands and hit you back with it. They can also take charge of the thrown barrel if they see it coming early enough. Soldiers can shoot the barrel even while you hold it, causing it to explode immediately, therefore be certain when and how you use this utility.
